darksabre Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 Which is why the pens fail at winning cups and why the oilers are mired in last place year after year. I can't wait for McEichel to become the Bass Pro of draft picks. Quote
LGR4GM Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 I can't wait for McEichel to become the Bass Pro of draft picks. idk what this means... Quote
darksabre Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 idk what this means... Full of promise but bails right before delivering. We all know they're gonna get their payday from another team before bringing a Cup here. This is Buffalo. Quote

Hoss Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 Buffalo Sabres @BuffaloSabres Hackett starts in goal tonight. D'Amigo will play with Grigorenko and Hodgson. Deslauriers with Ellis and Dalpe. #BUFvsNSH #sabres -CR Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 I think I will sit this one out ... The snow has started here in Halifax. Now they have upped the amount of rain expected before it turns back to snow. I hope our roof guy is right. Oh yeah, GO SABRES!! Quote
Claude Balls Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 Hackett vs. Rinne should equate to a Nashville blowout. Quote
wjag Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 Yes, finally a Hackett start! He was bound to get one sooner or later. Quote
biodork Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 'Bout time on Hackett. Not exactly great conditions, but hopefully (for his sake) it takes some of the pressure off, knowing the team is fully out of the playoff picture and expected to lose. Quote
rumblefish Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 Hackett up against it may revel more on if he is a keeper or not, right now I can't tell that, but with more playing time more will be brought to the light of day, more or less pressure is debatable, but tonight will be another audition for him Quote
inkman Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 In a game where at least 1/3 of the scoring occurs off of unintended body parts, I find it difficult to make any predictions. Quote
Stoner Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 It was Doug Glatt... in the conservatory... with his ass! Quote
I am Defecting Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 (edited) I will skip this game too. In all honesty, I haven't watched an entire game for two entire seasons, and the only regular season I attended, ended with the puck in the back of the visiting team goalies pants. Tee hee. Edited March 21, 2015 by Anna Akhmatova Quote
rumblefish Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 Doug Glatt?, I always thought it was Col. Mustard in the library with a candle stick, but I remain open minded to that possibility Quote
I am Defecting Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 Posters calling this a playoff like atmosphere - I am not sure they are right in the head. If you ask them, they will say, they are happy, because this is like the playoffs, despite all appearances to the contrary. This is what sports are about, they proclaim. How entertaining these games are, they remark. Now they have begun a "holier than thou" trope towards anyone who tries to point out the reality of the situation. Damaged goods, I suppose. I am through trying to talk sense to them, and scolding them seems to only exacerbate their condition. I think that maybe it is best to ignore them, talking about them, after passing as if they weren't there, like you would any nutcase that you must avoid on the street. Or perhaps it is best to avoid the places that they congregate in. Like one should avoid the City Mission if one does not like smell of homeless people. I am going to find out what Spndnchz is doing. biodork Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 Just signed into GCL and briefly saw the Nashville feed (defaults to home)... and the announcers were talking about how it's Star Wars Night?! Very odd. Quote
rumblefish Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 (edited) pre game numbers suggest that Sabres have more than a punchers chance to win, I hope so, and looks like a pretty full house for the game always a plus Edited March 22, 2015 by rumblefish Quote
K-9 Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 Is it me or does it seem dark in the Nashville arena? GO SABRES!!! Quote
biodork Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 (edited) Note to Sabres defensemen: if you see Shea Weber winding up, get outta the way! :P Is it me or does it seem dark in the Nashville arena? GO SABRES!!! It does (especially at the ends). Hackett seems relatively comfortable so far. Edited March 22, 2015 by biodork Quote
rumblefish Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 don't know about dark, but those Nashville jerseys, sure do hurt the eyes clear the track, here comes shack, ah the good old days Quote
biodork Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 Nice poke check by Hackett. He's not the biggest guy, that's for sure. Quote
Claude Balls Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 Looks like Irbe spent some time with Hackett since his last start. Eichel update, 1g 1a +1 2pims halfway through the 2nd of the hockey east championship game. Quote
biodork Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 (edited) D'amigo is down after a high stick to the face Edited March 22, 2015 by biodork Quote
Claude Balls Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 D'amigo is down after a high stick to the face / shoulder Talk about careless use of your stick. That was brutal. Quote
