CallawaySabres Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 3 point cushion with 2 games vs Zona. Can this season get any worse? Yes, yes it will. I just don't understand how anyone could want these points so I won't try to... Quote
Nitro60 Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 Can we PLEASE stop calling it the tank crowd. I call it the crowd that wants what is best for this team. A rose by any other name is still a rose. Quote
... Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 Okay, that's the first interview I've seen from Lindback. I like him. I hope he keeps getting better. Quote
rumblefish Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 screw the pro tankers, if Sabres meant to get the first pick they will, Quote

Eleven Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 Can we PLEASE stop calling it the tank crowd. I call it the crowd that wants what is best for this team. Â That die was cast when several threads were titled with the word "tank." Â And one poster called himself "tankalicious," which is actually somewhat creepy. Â Good that he changed that. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 screw the pro tankers, if Sabres meant to get the first pick they will, Nobody is "meant" to get anything. Quote
JJFIVEOH Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 Screw the Tank; Lindback deserves the win. Absolutely! I would have been disappointed for him if they lost this game. Quote
carpandean Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 (edited) In reference to my earlier post, if a single player/coach says that it was great to get the two points, I'm going to throw my remote through the TV. Please, just please, say that it was great for Anders to get the win. I can at least understand that feeling (he did deserve it.) Eleven Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 Stop talking about it, we'll stop calling you that.  Two months ago, I would have agreed with this principle.  It's a moot point now.  There's no pleasure in watching them win unless the win is against the Bruins, really.  Even then, it's a mixed emotion. You're such a nihilist. Say what you want about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude; at least it's an ethos. Claude Balls Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 Looking forward to more ###### hockey next year... And the year after. Maybe in three years we'll be watchable. I hate to agree, but without a top two pick this team won't be much better next year....or the year after....or, well, you get the picture. Evander Kane, Grigorenko or Reinhart are definitely not a McEichel. Â I wonder if Nolan and Irbe will be employed come Friday. How can this team be better than when they lost 14 in a row with a ton more talent? Quote
Norcal Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 (edited) What a frickin awesome 25 minutes of hockey in the 3rd and OT. Can't stand the Chowdaheads, Lindback deserved the win he played lights out. Heck, he even found out how to play in a shootout finally. Still want Mceichel but gotta love the character win tonight because Chowdaheads. I like Ruhwedel, hope he's up with the Sabres next year. Edited March 18, 2015 by Bills12Sabres11 Quote
Andrew Amerk Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 It was supposed to be Hackett but the Sabres switched late to Lindback. Believe it was Irbe and Nolan's decision. Kevin Bacon said after the game that he knew he would be starting after last nights game. Â Guess NBC doesn't know shhhhht as usual. Quote
carpandean Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 Every player and coach will say that.  I know. Stupid points system. They can't just call a win a win, anymore. Quote

rumblefish Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 slice it/dice it any way you choose, a win against the Boston Bozos is a day with a happy dance in it Quote
sicknfla Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 By TANKING. It's the tank crowd  You guys need to wake up. No offense but wanting wins right now makes you look really foolish. Quote

Hoss Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 I might just remove myself from Sabres hockey, Amerks hockey, all hockey and possibly all sports. I'm void of Emotion. I have a less extreme thought similar to this. I'm entering media. Hopefully sports media. Which will require me being unbiased. The Sabres, if they don't get a top two pick, will be atrocious and unwatchable for at least two more years. I won't waste my time with them. Will I drift away? Hopefully not. But the emotion is certainly already being drained. Quote
Claude Balls Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 (edited) Beautiful.....the Devils shut out the Pens tonight. You know what that means, Sabres should win no problem Friday night. I don't see NJ winning two in a row. Edited March 18, 2015 by Claude Balls Quote
