Can we PLEASE stop calling it the tank crowd. I call it the crowd that wants what is best for this team.

 

That die was cast when several threads were titled with the word "tank."  And one poster called himself "tankalicious," which is actually somewhat creepy.  Good that he changed that.

In reference to my earlier post, if a single player/coach says that it was great to get the two points, I'm going to throw my remote through the TV.  Please, just please, say that it was great for Anders to get the win.  I can at least understand that feeling (he did deserve it.)

Two months ago, I would have agreed with this principle.  It's a moot point now.  There's no pleasure in watching them win unless the win is against the Bruins, really.  Even then, it's a mixed emotion.

Looking forward to more ###### hockey next year... And the year after. Maybe in three years we'll be watchable.

I hate to agree, but without a top two pick this team won't be much better next year....or the year after....or, well, you get the picture. Evander Kane, Grigorenko or Reinhart are definitely not a McEichel.

 

I wonder if Nolan and Irbe will be employed come Friday. How can this team be better than when they lost 14 in a row with a ton more talent?

What a frickin awesome 25 minutes of hockey in the 3rd and OT. Can't stand the Chowdaheads, Lindback deserved the win he played lights out. Heck, he even found out how to play in a shootout finally. Still want Mceichel but gotta love the character win tonight because Chowdaheads. I like Ruhwedel, hope he's up with the Sabres next year.

It was supposed to be Hackett but the Sabres switched late to Lindback. Believe it was Irbe and Nolan's decision.

Kevin Bacon said after the game that he knew he would be starting after last nights game.

 

Guess NBC doesn't know shhhhht as usual.

You may have a point, but it''s besides the point. When you're one of the people relentlessly ramming it down our throats for months, don't get upset when you get labeled a tanker.

I might just remove myself from Sabres hockey, Amerks hockey, all hockey and possibly all sports. I'm void of Emotion.

I have a less extreme thought similar to this. I'm entering media. Hopefully sports media. Which will require me being unbiased. The Sabres, if they don't get a top two pick, will be atrocious and unwatchable for at least two more years. I won't waste my time with them. Will I drift away? Hopefully not. But the emotion is certainly already being drained.

Beautiful.....the Devils shut out the Pens tonight. You know what that means, Sabres should win no problem Friday night. I don't see NJ winning two in a row.
