WildCard Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) Da Sabres take on one of the hottest teams in the league tonight as we march to Bean-Town for back-to-backs. Discuss Edited March 17, 2015 by WildComrade Quote
Claude Balls Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 Not a team I hate more in the NHL than Boston. With that being said I expect Buffalo to get taken to the woodshed. Sabres in the second game of a B2B and the Bruins coming off being shut out. But if Marchand leaves the game not knowing who he is, then win or lose, the game will be worthwhile. Quote
Brawndo Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 During the pregame scrum with reporters yesterday Nolan mentioned Hackett would probably get the start tonight. Quote
CallawaySabres Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 No games in hand after tonight and 5 points behind isn't a terrible place to be. A couple fights and a hard fought loss would be great in my book. I would love to find a starting goaltender by the end of the year.... Quote
rumblefish Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 lets see, playing the Boston Bozos, on St. Pat's day, how could it not be good, and getting at least a point would be even better Quote
darksabre Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 During the pregame scrum with reporters yesterday Nolan mentioned Hackett would probably get the start tonight. I hope he breaks Marchand's face and gets suspended for the rest of the season. Quote
Samson's Flow Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 ###### Boston. Agreed Boston. Since its the second game in a back to back, I expect the Sabres to get slaughtered. But you never know. Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 I never root for the Sabres harder than when they play the Chowder Heads. That is not changing during this poopy season. I will root for the Sabres to win tonight with all my might. GO SABRES!! Quote
Brawndo Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 Stop me if you have heard this one before. Backup Goalie tonight Svenberg, then again it didn't make a difference last night, Quote
inkman Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 I want Lucic and Marchand to feel pain Quote
Norcal Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 I want Lucic and Marchand to feel painThis please, da chowdaheads Quote
Jsixspd Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 Ahhh, good old Beantownl How I love Boston and their teams. If Bostoners want to celebrate their precious Patriots there, they ought to go out and shovel some more snow, the jerks! Maybe pour some green food coloring on it in honor of St. Patty's Day? LOLTank can wait tonight - hoping for an upset. I hope he breaks Marchand's face and gets suspended for the rest of the season. I would love to see someone drive a nice solid punch straight onto that big beak of his! It's a tempting target. He and Lucic are probably two of the biggest lowlifes in professional sports. One poster here, last season, deemed them "some of the worst human beings there are" and I think that's an accurate assessment. Quote
LGR4GM Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 I want Lucic and Marchand to feel pain Paging Nick Desluariers, Nick Deslauriers to the nearest blue n gold courtesy phone please. Quote
Hoss Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 Stop me if you have heard this one before. Backup Goalie tonight Svenberg, then again it didn't make a difference last night, We got the starter last night. Quote

Weave Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 I hate the idea of playing Boston with only Deslaurier as a designated hitter. I guess I shouldn't expect anything now that there is no skill on the team for Boston to take out. Quote
carpandean Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) and getting at least a point would be even better For whom? If you don't like Boston and, therefore, want to keep them from getting points, then that's fine. Heck, say that you want the Sabres to play tough enough to at least force overtime. That's understandable, too. I would disagree, but I could understand where you are coming from (I don't think anti-tankers are wrong even though I don't share their beliefs). But, getting a point (say, losing in OT) would do absolutely nothing good for anyone (outside of Arizona and Edmonton). It's the same way that I have felt in the last month or so, when players and Nolan would say things like, "it was good to get the two points tonight." No, it wasn't. It might have been good for the room and some fans to get the win, but you're out of the playoffs; it was decidedly not good to the two points! Edited March 17, 2015 by carpandean Quote
biodork Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 Effing NBCSN game again. At least the schedule-makers were kind enough to put this one on a night when many will already be drinking to take the edge off. Quote

Claude_Verret Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 Effing NBCSN game again. At least the schedule-makers were kind enough to put this one on a night when many will already be drinking to take the edge off. These are the only games that I get to see. Last night I watched an entire period/OT/SO of Sabres hockey....of course it had to be a game where they wore those awful 3rds. Quote

rumblefish Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) St. Pats Day, Boston vs Buffalo, with the drop of the puck to start the game, they have a full scale brawl, just like in Slap Shot, now that would be entertaining , and rooting for the Sabres to lose, especially Boston, is just sick, I want the Sabres to win every time out, but to get at least a point, and take one away from the Bruins is almost as good in my book Edited March 17, 2015 by rumblefish Quote
wjag Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 Should be an entertaining game. Division games never are easy when you are supposed to win. Quote
darksabre Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 The first Sabres game I ever went to as a kid was against the Bruins on St. Patrick's Day weekend in Buffalo. We trounced them and Rob Ray fought everyone. Give me a real brawler tonight in beantown. Set the tone for next season. Quote
