I'd rather have smaller pads than a bigger net, take a little ice away with a bigger net, even if it is just a few inches.

That pads were already made smaller this season. Don't think they'll keep shrinking them.

 

Rule changes will be more important to generate scoring, though. And actually enforcing the ones that are in place.

I watched and thought they could pull this out and get a tie. Once they pulled the goalie, I lost hope.  The Sabres are the worst team with a man advantage that is more evident when they pull their goalie.  12 empty net goals this year.
