Tyler Ennis: Better Than Ever

I actually like ennis....hes a sparky 3rd line guy with good speed. I just don't see him within a mile of briere. Just doesn't have the skills.

If he can give us 20/25 on line 3 then we are in good shape.

How many third liners put up 40+ points?

 

If it were normal for third line forwards to put up 40 points, we would expect teams to have 7-9 40+ point players. 7*30 = 210.

 

Last year 132 players put up 40+ points. For an average of 4.4 players per team. Thus 40+ points makes you a solid second line player

So still a solid second line player

 

This also completely ignores the fact that Ennis faces teams top shutdown D-pair here, whilst if he played on the second line in another team he would have an easier time etc.

 

People have a bizarre idea of how many points a player puts up. There are really only maybe 10 'top-line' centres
