Dannepanne Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Guess we're going to see Lindback in goal tomorrow then. It's so embarassing that they are talking on TSN that we traded him because he won us games, and that Tim had to get rid off him. "Neuvirth trade results in tanking" Quote
... Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 The question is, now, if this is all GMTM needed to do land McEichel? Quote
North Buffalo Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 1 hour plus stuff reported after deadline so say 4pmish... To go. Quote
BuffaloBorn Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 If this is true I am so happy. You can get a good goaltender at the draft for a 2nd or 1st can you not? Quote
BRH Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Wikipedia already updated, wow. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chad_Johnson_%28ice_hockey%29 I doubt it. 'GR just reported that Neuvy learned of the trade on TSN before GMTM called him. Doesn't necessarily mean he didn't call the agents to let them know that he was going to try to move them today and wants them back. It's hard these days to stay ahead of leaks. Quote
PotentPowerPlay22 Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 It is to improve the tank. Neuvy was damaging it Absolutely!!! Quote
biodork Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 If this is true I am so happy. You can get a good goaltender at the draft for a 2nd or 1st can you not? Maybe, but goaltenders are slow to develop so it's not a good short-term plan. Quote
qwksndmonster Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 If this is true I am so happy. You can get a good goaltender at the draft for a 2nd or 1st can you not? A good goaltender prospect. Problem is, goalie development is almost impossible to predict and often takes several years. So you might as well pick up a goalie in rounds 4-7 every year. Maybe, but goaltenders are slow to develop so it's not a good short-term plan. Nobody's faster than you, but I'm not. Quote

Dannepanne Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Sure hope all these tank moves gets us one of the Mcdonalds guys. Quote

Taro T Posted March 2, 2015 Author Report Posted March 2, 2015 Good thing I've only got 2 games left that I'm trying to get rid of tickets for. Better not leave a pair on my dashboard; there'll be another there by the time I get back. Quote
Stoner Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 (edited) Johnson's been playing well, too. .935 in five games in February. Edited March 2, 2015 by @fakegorbyportwinestain Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 There now everyone can step back from the ledge. What about those who already jumped? Is this like NES where you can just reset? Quote
Taro T Posted March 2, 2015 Author Report Posted March 2, 2015 Anyone else getting the feeling that Neuvirth expected to remain a Sabre today? Quote
woods-racer Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Anyone else getting the feeling that Neuvirth expected to remain a Sabre today? GMTM probably told him he would like to see him in net as a Sabre next year, and is sure they could make a deal this summer on a contract. He forgot to mention that he could be spending a little time on an Island first. Probably why Neuvirth is rumored not to have packed an extra bag, or his passport. Quote

Huckleberry Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Johnson's been playing well, too. .935 in five games in February. Was thinking this might hurt our tank as well, he better put lindback in net. Quote
BagBoy Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Johnson's first real season in the NHL was last year with BOS and he went 17-4, .925, 2.10. Granted this year's numbers aren't nearly as good, but he's been hot in Feb as pointed out by Gorby. He's locked up next year contract wise at a $1.3M cap hit, plus we get a 3rd rounder. I think GMTM may have won this one. Quote
