darksabre Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 There now everyone can step back from the ledge. Quote
Johnny DangerFace Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 And a third. But Kyprios is also a tool who has been wrong a lot before Quote
carpandean Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Ocho Cinco?? Now, that would be tanking! Quote
dudacek Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 There better be a third, otherwise why? Neuvirth is so much better than Johnson. Same return as Enroth basically, with maybe one of those guys coming back in the summer? Quote
nobody Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 I'd imagine they will call up Matt Hackett to get his 7 more starts in to maintain his RFA status. Quote
biodork Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Awww, man. Well, should make it easier to get Hackett his required ice time now. Edit: nobody is faster than me, lol. Quote
... Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 I'd imagine they will call up Matt Hackett to get his 7 more starts in to maintain his RFA status. I guess, why? Hackett will be allowed to walk. Neuvirth is a good goalie, and while this helps the tank, this doesn't help the Sabres after the draft. Quote
Sherman Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 So the two goalies for the NYI were traded for each other last year and were both members of the Sabres at last years deadline? Quote
Dannepanne Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Damn, really thought Neuvirth was GMTM:s man. Almost expect GMTM to be pushing hard to get him back this summer. Quote
dudacek Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Without a doubt, the worst goaltending combo in Sabres history? Quote
Trettioåtta Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Let's face it, this is basically just a dump. If we weren't tanking i'd rather keep Neuvirth and try and sign him Without a doubt, the worst goaltending combo in Sabres history? So you're saying we're about to go 20-0-0? :p Quote

Neuvirth is a good goalie, and while this helps the tank, this doesn't help the Sabres after the draft. Exactly. Damn, really thought Neuvirth was GMTM:s man. Almost expect GMTM to be pushing hard to get him back this summer. I sure hope so... I'd really like to see him come back. Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Neuvirth can come back, so could Stewart. Quote
Chilly Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 (edited) Buffalo also gets a 3rd round pick in 2016. Pretty much like the Enroth trade. Edited March 2, 2015 by Bluefire Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 We have legitimate shots at Enroth and Neuvirth in the off season, if we really wanted them. Good tank move. Quote
PotentPowerPlay22 Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 (edited) Damn, really thought Neuvirth was GMTM:s man. Almost expect GMTM to be pushing hard to get him back this summer. The only way this trade makes sense is if the Sabres plan to re-sign Neuvirth in the summer. Otherwise, this trade is a dead loser. p.s. Unless it is part of the tank Edited March 2, 2015 by PotentPowerPlay22 Quote
... Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Neuvirth can come back, so could Stewart. This is how I see it, but it's still very ugly. I hope GMTM has had conversations with Stewart's and Neuvirth's agents ahead of time to let them know this isn't personal, it's just business. Quote
Trettioåtta Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 The only way this trade makes sense is if the Sabres plan to re-sign Neuvirth in the summer. Otherwise, this trade is a dead loser. It is to improve the tank. Neuvy was damaging it Quote
Taro T Posted March 2, 2015 Author Report Posted March 2, 2015 Damn, really thought Neuvirth was GMTM:s man. Almost expect GMTM to be pushing hard to get him back this summer. He was traded to a team w/ an established starter. He won't re-sign in Brooklyn. If TM wants him bad enough, he'll be available. Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Wikipedia already updated, wow. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chad_Johnson_%28ice_hockey%29 This is how I see it, but it's still very ugly. I hope GMTM has had conversations with Stewart's and Neuvirth's agents ahead of time to let them know this isn't personal, it's just business. I doubt it. 'GR just reported that Neuvy learned of the trade on TSN before GMTM called him. Quote
