Hoss Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 The Devils have dominated the puck all game yet the shot differential is tiny. They just pass and pass and pass until they turn it over. Quote
woods-racer Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 I just watched Hodgson in the d zone make a nice play and battle 2 devils for the puck... Quote
Eleven Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 The commenters are all over Risto-Zad, but a little critical of Zad's shape coming into camp. Quote
SwampD Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 Zads doesn't look so good this game. Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 Why is Brian Flynn on the PP?Ellis was tired Quote
Hoss Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 I want to throw up... This is from our official Twitter account. Â .@NHLonNBCSports saying nice things about our work ethic. Thanks guys. #BUFvsNJD Â Â I know the guy that runs the account. He's super nice and cool. But this? Yuck. Get it together, Craig. :p Quote
Tondas Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 Zads doesn't look so good this game.  Agree. He needs more discipline on his positioning. He screwed up the power play by being out of position not getting back to his point. Nothing that can't be taught, but usually that is taught and learned in bantams. It's a little concerning. woods-racer Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 Miss-zero wiffs on the puck at the blue line and Weber winds up getting a puck to the head as a result...and is in the locker room...speechless.. Quote
Hoss Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 Still think the penalty shot rules are terrible. Should be the penalty shot + 2 minutes unless the PS is successful. Quote
SwampD Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 Still think the penalty shot rules are terrible. Should be the penalty shot + 2 minutes unless the PS is successful. No way should they get both just because they miss. It should be either or. Quote
Hoss Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 More of these two teams? Yay. Can't wait. Quote
woods-racer Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 Still think the penalty shot rules are terrible. Should be the penalty shot + 2 minutes unless the PS is successful.totally agree, and that was a prime example of why you are right Quote
Hoss Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) No way should they get both just because they miss. It should be either or. BS. You intentionally cheat a player of a wide open scoring chance he should get the scoring chance back and you go sit in the box until they score or the two minutes are up. It should be a little extra considering you're cheating the team of a legitimate scoring chance. Edited February 18, 2015 by Tank Quote
French Collection Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 Slovakian Bobby Orr with a last second rush. Quote
French Collection Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 Go back to pre-50's rule of serving entire 2 minutes, regardless of goals. NHL could increase goals. Lots of special teams emphasis. Quote

It should be a little extra considering you're cheating the team of a legitimate scoring chance. But it's not a wide open shot. It's with a guy hanging on him. His reward for the penalty is a chance at a completely uncontested shot. The alternative is to just give them two minutes for tripping(in this case). That's fair. Quote
CallawaySabres Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 34 really deserves this one. Do we have to take the 2 points if we win? Quote
SwampD Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 Anyone who plays hockey knows that that was holding the stick as well. If I was the ref, I would have sent them both to the box. Quote
