Brawndo Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 Sabres begin a two game road trip tonight in NJ against the Devils who are struggling themselves in the midst of a 4 game losing streak. It's the Sabres second trip to the Prudential Center this season and the second of three meetings between the teams. Quote

woods-racer Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 This game should be all about Hodgson and Larson. Give them minutes, let them play their game and have fun. It would make it interesting to watch, and we would have something to talk about. Otherwise, watching the snow outside get colder as the sunsets tonight may be just as thrilling to watch. Quote
Claude_Verret Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 Do or die CHL game for Joisey. Quote
Rasmus_ Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 Two goals for Jagr, to push his trade value up. I find him still one of the most enjoyable players to watch in the NHL. Quote
woods-racer Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 Make it end.... The polar vortex? Quote
CallawaySabres Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 The polar vortex? yea, that too...Jesus H! I look forward to hopefully digging such a hole in the standings where we can bring up some Rochester boys and not worry about winning . I'm guessing that will be with about 5- 10 games left. Quote
SwampD Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 Lots of $20 seats left. Still not going. Quote

As long as Nolan has his say, pfft I doubt we'll see an extensive cast of Americans' call ups. Aside from Larsson as an emergency replacement for Kaleta, we'd probably not have him. Quote

LGR4GM Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 I don't think Nolan has say in anything at this point... Well if that were the case I could name 3 players who should be getting more ice time or at least be on the roster. Quote

He's smooth and smart with the puck but I wonder if he isn't strong enough to handle the NHL Quote

skaught Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 where's the blackout rule when you need it most No chance, this game is nationally televised, not sure what NBCSN is thinking. Quote
Samson's Flow Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 No chance, this game is nationally televised, not sure what NBCSN is thinking. Despite the guaranteed awfulness of this Sabres team, the Buffalo tv market is always near the top in terms of % viewership, which is why NBC likes to schedule the Sabres for the weekday matchups. Plus the TV schedule is set at the beginning of the year. Quote
woods-racer Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 (edited) No chance, this game is nationally televised, not sure what NBCSN is thinking. Market share ..Ratings? Sabres fans still tune in even though they are dead last, and NJ has big audience. Sure as hell isn't the quality of the match up.... TbB..your a touch faster than I am... Iron Crotch Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 I saw New Jersey play the Preds down here last week. They looked terrible (although Schneider was very good in goal). They still play that boring defensive system, which kills any offensive flow to the game. So, this matchup should be about as exciting as watching paint dry. Quote
