3putt Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 GMTM is pleased with the turn the market has taken recently. How so? Quote
French Collection Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 Stewart's value may rise as Timmy waits. As long as there are a few teams that feel left out of the arms race. Quote
WildCard Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 How so? It seems like a seller's market this year; plus with other options off the table, hopefully some teams will get desperate and pay a higher price for someone like Stewart Quote
3putt Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 2 big assumptions. What buyers are left with assets? Quote

3putt Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 But do they have 1st rounders, desirable prospects, and a snowballs chance in hell? The faves have traded 1's, will also rans chance it? Talk amongst yourselves. Quote
3putt Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 I disagree on the earshot. If you think you might miss you do not give away a lottery ball no matter how small your chances. You must be certain you are in. Quote
pastajoe Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 I'm starting to worry that teams are filling their needs, and Buffalo may run out of landing spots for the FAs, or will have to settle for less with less competition. Murray may have waited too long. Quote

Murray may have waited too long. Yandle will probably be the biggest piece if he is moved. If Murray gets a first for Stewart he should be lucky. Quote
bunomatic Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 Montreal is a real good team. Put Stewarts size and scoring touch in the mix and wowzers. Quote
X. Benedict Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 Yandle will probably be the biggest piece if he is moved. If Murray gets a first for Stewart he should be lucky. I imagine that GMTM is more interested in 20 year old prospects. Quote
LGR4GM Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 Curtis Glencross (32yr old LW) has been traded from the Calgary Flames. Details forthcoming. Quote
Brawndo Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 (edited) This should give a good indication of what the market is for Wingers Edited March 1, 2015 by BRAWNDO Quote
LGR4GM Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 (edited) Dreger reporting the deal send Glencross to Washington but I don't have a 2nd source for confirmation yet. EDIT: So Glencross to the Capitals for 2 picks, details on those picks still unknown. EDIT^2: Picks are a 2nd and a 3rd. Edited March 1, 2015 by Ligerovich 4GM Quote
deluca67 Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 If Glencross and Stewart are comparable, unless a #1 is involved, I want nothing to do with picks for Stewart. I'd rather he stay and the Sabres try to extend him. Quote
dudacek Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 (edited) Stewart perhaps the most prominent chip still out there, unless the Sharks start selling. Islanders, Rangers, Canadiens, Red Wings, Lightning, Blues — teams in the race yet to make a "serious" move. I wonder if any of them are bidding against Boston for Stewart, or if it's Spooner and second by attrition. And it's going to be a dull deadline day. No one left to trade. deluca67 Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 Picks are capital. You can cash them in in other deals. They have picks, I'd rather keep the 6' 2" 230 lb bull to hammer the D down low on the fore-check. Quote

WildCard Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 At this point I'm not sure Murray trades any UFA away based on their return, but rather it's more of a tank move. I think he can make a better effort to sign Stewart and Neuvirth, even if it's in the offseason. Would I trade Stewart+Neuvirth+Mitchell for some picks/prospects and McEichel? yeah I would Quote
