LGR4GM Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 I think Murray broke the trade deadline when he made that trade. Quote
Byebye Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Is it me or does this trade deadline eve (heck, the whole weekend) seem particularly active? Definitely seems more active then usual! Quote
Hoss Posted March 2, 2015 Author Report Posted March 2, 2015 I hate and love Murray waiting... All the good names are going before tomorrow but at least there's intrigue for us tomorrow. Quote
Byebye Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 You are assuming two things which I think are wrong. 1) That Vermette had the same value to Boston, as not only Chicago but also Stewart 2) That Stewart's value hasn't changed since most players are no longer on the board anymore to be traded. Stewart is now the best rental forward on the market, if Boston doesn't acquire Atkinson I could see them having to pay our price Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 I would offer Boston Stewart 50% + 2nd (2015 BUF) + 2nd (2016) for 1st (2015 UNPROTECTED) + SubbanIf they want more toss in a prospect like Catenacci Quote
SabresBillsFan Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Boston doesn't need to move anyone. They can still make the playoffs with that team. They have been hurt by injuries all year but I still believe they have enough talent to get in. Quote

Boston refused to include their first for Vermette... So that package might land their first but not Subban AND their first. Make it that plus the later first we have left and it might be there. Tough to say, let's say Boston wins the cup, that first they gave us would be 1 pick beforethe 2nd we gave them(assuming the tank pulls through), so it would basically be Stewart and a 2nd for Subban. Considering what goalies have been going for that would be a decent offer. However that's a lot of ifs. Murray will want to keep the lower 1st we have and package it with Zadorov and Grigorenko to make a play at O'Reilly Recently read an article saying Sakic intended on extending O'Reilly this summer, that's no guarantee though. I would like to hang onto that 1st though, this is a deep draft year Quote
kas23 Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Everybody does realize Don Maloney is Arizonas GM? Right? It would be naive to think Darcy isn't whispering "tank" into one of his ears. He wouldn't have hired Darcy if he didn't value his input. Quote

LGR4GM Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Well looking at my schedule I should be on tomorrow from about 10:30 to 2:45 with as many updates as I can get... although there isn't much left unless a major blockbuster goes down. Quote
WildCard Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 I have classes from 11am--8:30pm so I'll be checking this thread a lot tomorrow Quote
LTS Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 I chose to work from home tomorrow. :) That said.. fire Tim Murray, he sucks. This whole thing is a joke and the Sabres will be horrible forever. Abysmal. Horrendous. I hate them. Oh.. wait.. the sun'll come out tomorrow. Quote
pi2000 Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Zona plays 9 of their next 10 at home. Buffalo plays only 4 hone games in March. Zona still has Gagner, Doan, OEL, and Hanzal on their roster. Yandel was a defensive liability, he scored some, but is a -32. I don't think their moves thus far are going to make them significantly worse, let alone worse than the lineup Buffalo may have. Quote
darksabre Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 ###### court tomorrow... It's better this way. Quote
SabresBillsFan Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 I'll bring up the negative points about our UFA's. If you are another team calling u could also settle for giving up less for these guys knowing we have to move them or they walk for nothing. I hope Murray makes some moves I'm just not expecting anything major for any of these guys. Quote
qwksndmonster Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 ###### court tomorrow... 11, you need to stop exposing yourself in public. Quote

SabresBillsFan Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 (edited) Isn't this true for every team? Besides Stewart and Nievirth I don't expect anything from any of the other UFA's. I'm just saying these guys aren't making other teams jump out of their boots to acquire either one. You have a former 20 goal scorer who for the most part wasn't using his size to his advantage and part of the reason why he fell into Nolans Doghouse. And then Nievirth really hasn't come into his own until Enroth was moved. I'm not expecting much. Edited March 2, 2015 by SabresBillsFan Quote
Randall Flagg Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Brett Connolly to Boston For 2 seconds And coburn to Tampa for a first a third and Gudas, holy hell. Hope Murray can get similarly shocking hauls for our guys tomorrow Quote
Hoss Posted March 2, 2015 Author Report Posted March 2, 2015 Well we might be left without a dance partner. Boston won't be looking to Stewart any longer. The is a MASSIVE overpayment on Coburn. Ho-lee . Quote
qwksndmonster Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Wow. That's a lot to give up for Coburn. At least Connolly is still an RFA. Quote
