Stoner Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 Chandler? Yeah. I was imagining our struggling Cody sitting on the pot. Quote

Stoner Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 If we got one for the goal maybe he would start scoring again. We know Varone is good to go! “Whenever someone has a pointer for me, always take it in and take in as much as I can. I’m just trying to enjoy the moment." Quote
WildCard Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 First episode I've ever seen tonight; I watched the previous one before the new one on tonight. Much better than I though, Bob Odenkirk makes a like-able character, and I like that they brought back Mike. Quote
qwksndmonster Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 Tonight's episode, wow. Made me cry. Quote
mudberry Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 Love the show and great to see Odenkirk doing good. He was one of my favorite characters in Breaking Bad, and thought he was great back in the Ben Stiller Show days. His Charles Manson sketches were hysterical. Quote
sabills Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 Bam, if the last one was weak, this is the strongest yet. Jonathan Banks freaking nailed it. Quote
bunomatic Posted March 11, 2015 Author Report Posted March 11, 2015 So interesting to see some of the background stories on some of these characters that we came to love in breaking bad. Things are being tied together and making sense. Mike was such a likeable bad guy in breaking bad and was one of my favorites. That was a great episode. Quote

And ultimately his demise was more tragic than we knew. To be snuffed out by Walter white of all people. Quote
Claude_Verret Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 (edited) Great show so far.. Bob Odenkirk as Gil the porn star in Curb Your Enthusiasm is classic. Most definitely NSFW. edit: won't play embedded apparently so here's the link.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plrtX555eoA Edited March 11, 2015 by Claude_Verret Quote
Hoss Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 All caught up. This week was incredible storytelling. Perfecting weaving between present and past. Banks really nails down his character, and now we know why that character is who he is. Wow. Also, I have to assume the end of this season will see Jimmy's name switch to Saul. Will probably be the closer. Quote

Taro T Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Caught that part. :P Just meant an actual switch. :) What I'm looking forward to (most likely in season 2) is the introduction of Gus. Was veeerry disappointed they didn't go further into his backstory in BB. Quote

Assquatch Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Saul doesn't actually know Gus, though, so that'd be a Mike storyline. That'll be in the spinoff. Quote
Taro T Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Saul doesn't actually know Gus, though, so that'd be a Mike storyline.Doesn't mean he won't be included in this series. Quote
Hoss Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Gilligan already indicated that Gus will be in this. The show isn't actually all Saul's show, as we saw in the most recent episode. They said they'll move through time and address the backstory on quite a few characters, but also cautioned that it's not just going to be a train of Breaking Bad nostalgia. Quote
K-9 Posted March 12, 2015 Report Posted March 12, 2015 Saul doesn't actually know Gus, though, so that'd be a Mike storyline. Could also be a Tuco or Nacho storyline as Gus knew both of them as well. Even if they hadn't met personally in 'Breaking Bad', Saul would have certainly known who the kingpin was. As for the latest episode, I agree with everyone else; just elegant story telling meeting up with great acting. Quote

Hopefully it continues Quote
Robviously Posted March 14, 2015 Report Posted March 14, 2015 Finally saw the episode from this past Monday (the Mike episode) and, at least for this one episode, this show equaled Breaking Bad. And I honestly can't think of too many episodes of any show better than this one. The scenes in Philly where Mike gets his revenge, followed by the long scene where he tells his daughter in law were jaw-dropping. They can give Jonathan Banks his Emmy now to save time. Like I mentioned previously, I really hated the idea of a Breaking Bad prequel when the rumors first started but this is a legitimately spectacular show. Quote
Stoner Posted March 14, 2015 Report Posted March 14, 2015 The idea that Breaking Bad was just the setup for something even better is pretty mind-blowing. Maybe a bit premature, but the last episode, like Rob said, at least starts the conversation. Quote

Except for, y'know, when it's not. Quote
