SwampD Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 Why did I have to get sick monday night and not be able to stay awake for the second episode? I'll have to figure out when they're re-airing it. It's AMC. Don't they always air the previous episode before the new one? Quote
shrader Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 It's AMC. Don't they always air the previous episode before the new one? That depends on which night they're airing the new shows. If they leave it on sunday, they won't have that option because of the Walking Dead. If it is sticking to monday, problem solved. Quote
Kr632 Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 They said him and Jesse probably will be down the road. I just read that. Said definitely not in season one though. Quote

bunomatic Posted February 11, 2015 Author Report Posted February 11, 2015 As Tank says monday night 10 eastern I believe so 9 for the 2nd episode. Quote
shrader Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 Thanks, I hadn't actually seen any ads other than the ones pushing the two night premiere this past weekend. Quote
bunomatic Posted February 17, 2015 Author Report Posted February 17, 2015 Just watched the 2nd episode again prior to watching the 3rd. This show rocks in ways I never imagined. I was a huge breaking bad fan so I had some trepidation when the spin off was to be about a lawyer. O.K., a courtroom drama ? The ins and outs of choosing a jury ? Â It could have gone a hundred dry and potentially boring routes. I like the direction this thing is moving. I like this show. Hyped about episode 3. Quote

Previews look like he'll have a more significant interaction w/ Mike in this new one. Quote
SwampD Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 It's a pretty good show. I don't see myself gettin after it every Monday, but I could see catching up on three episodes every three weeks. Quote
Robviously Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 I honestly hated the idea of this show when the rumors first started about a prequel/spin-off but I love it so far. Â The beginning and ending of Episode 1 were outstanding, and the long scene in the desert in Episode 2 could rival anything from Breaking Bad. Â And another good episode tonight. Â Happy to have something new to watch with Breaking Bad over and Mad Men ending soon. Quote
K-9 Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 3 for 3. Mike starting to come to the fore a bit. Quote
Stoner Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 3 for 3. Mike starting to come to the fore a bit. As is the lady friend.  Had to love the "Heeeere's Johnny" moment and the "straight from Satan's bunghole" line. Quote
qwksndmonster Posted February 19, 2015 Report Posted February 19, 2015 As is the lady friend. Â Had to love the "Heeeere's Johnny" moment and the "straight from Satan's bunghole" line. I was thinking, "What's the best way for him to approach the family without scaring the bejeezus out of them?" Â And of course he does that. Quote
bunomatic Posted February 24, 2015 Author Report Posted February 24, 2015 After watching episode 4 I have to say the lawyer has some of the best scams going. Confidence man extraordinaire. Quote
K-9 Posted February 25, 2015 Report Posted February 25, 2015 "What's your name again?" Â "Saul." Â "What?" Â "'Saul good." Â I got taken in twice by Jimmy's scams in ep. 4. I should have known better considering how often Gilligan did that in 'BB', but damn, that's what makes his shows a fun ride. Â 4 for 4 and counting. Quote
BuffalOhio Posted February 25, 2015 Report Posted February 25, 2015 The plot twists and turns that Gilligan comes up with are amazing. Â Everything is intertwined and you almost never see where things are going. Â So far this show is really great. Â Haven't seen 4 yet. Â Probably tonight if I can stay awake. Â WTF am I still doing up???? Â Quote
sabills Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 This week was fun but maybe a bit weaker than the others. Still, a couple seasons worth of the good stuff and this show could lock down best spin-off ever real quick, at least for a drama.. Quote
qwksndmonster Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 This week was fun but maybe a bit weaker than the others. Still, a couple seasons worth of the good stuff and this show could lock down best spin-off ever real quick, at least for a drama.. I love how the show has no set structure. Â With 10 minutes left in episode 5 it screeches to a halt and we get a short film about Mike. Â I got real hot when the derp cops busted in and tazed Chuck. Â Douchebags. Â I can't wait for them to get theirs (hopefully at the hands of Jimmy, but maybe Mike...) Â Despite the manner of their main characters (ie Walt internalizing everything and Jimmy being a motormouth), BCS somehow manages to have even more scenes without talking than BB had. Â I also find Jimmy about 5000X more likable than Walt. Quote
inkman Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 Can't wait for the Mike story to unfold. I'm finding Lenny's (Chuck) story a little tiring. Quote
qwksndmonster Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 Can't wait for the Mike story to unfold. I'm finding Lenny's (Chuck) story a little tiring. I really like Jimmy's place in Chuck's story.  He's tried his best to help his brother, but is ready to give up.  He selfishly wants Chuck to cash out, when obviously Chuck isn't ready to give up on his own life.  It's the framework for how a schlep like Jimmy will become Saul Goodman.  I agree that it's getting tiring, but it's not nearly as tiring as the Walt/Skyler/Jr/Marie scenes in seasons 1 and 2 of breaking bad.  The pacing is sooooo much better.  I also thought the scene with the (wayyy too hot) doctor was really well done.  They still made the doctor a little tone deaf, but it was eons better than the robotic health professionals they depicted in BB. Quote
bunomatic Posted March 4, 2015 Author Report Posted March 4, 2015 Really liked the will ads at the bottom of the jello cups. Jimmys a class act. His character is really growing on me. Quote
K-9 Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 Anybody know the current exchange rate in the Independent Republic of Sandia? I gotta convert some dollars into Ricky bucks. I'm thinking of investing in some talking toilets. Quote
