Hoss Posted January 21, 2016 Report Posted January 21, 2016 Bills become the first team with a full-time female assistant coach http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/01/20/bills-hire-a-female-assistant-coach/ She's already listed on the team's website. So is a "Laura Young." Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted January 22, 2016 Report Posted January 22, 2016 I finally got it. Brawndo's avatar is ROR's mug shot. You clever, clever boy you. I just realized that it has been a week since I've been on the board, but I didn't log out. Quote
Hoss Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 http://galleries.buffalonews.com/default.aspx?id=5487#/0 This "article"/gallery has been annoying me since it was originally posted. It just comes across as soooo lazy. Five best and worst Bills contracts. Best 1. Tyrod Taylor - fair. Great contract and situation for the team. 2. Ronald Darby - WTF? It's a rookie contract... 3. Karlos Williams - AGAIN!? It's a ROOKIE contract... 4. Sammy Watkins - IT'S A ROOKIE CONTRACT... 5. Colton Schmidt - Holy Schmidt, it's a punter. Worst 1. EJ Manuel - DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF A ROOKIE CONTRACT!? 2. Charles Clay - Uh, really? Already calling this a bad contract? 3. Jerome Felton - Fine. He's a fullback and it was stupid to give a fullback big money. 4. Cyrus Kouandjio - If only the NFL didn't have a rookie contract system then maybe this article/gallery wouldn't suck so much. 5. Percy Harvin - Meh. $2M obligation if they cut him. Whatevs. Fair enough at number 5. Quote
ubkev Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 http://galleries.buffalonews.com/default.aspx?id=5487#/0 1. EJ Manuel - DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF A ROOKIE CONTRACT!? I read this like Christopher Walken in The Rundown. Quote
Hoss Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 Is Carson Palmer a Hall of Famer? If he wins the Super Bowl is he? If he plays two or three more prime years is he? My gut tells me definitively no right now, but it'll get interesting if he wins the Cardinals their very first Super Bowl. He's sitting at 40,036 passing yards, 259 Tds and 166 INTs for his career. He's likely to retire in the top ten in yards, TDs and completions. He's battled through so many injuries so getting to this point is extremely impressive. I'm going to say firm no right now but teetering towards yes if he wins this Super Bowl then follows up with at least two more very good seasons. Quote

TrueBlueGED Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 Aside from Brady's achilles rupturing, couldn't ask for a better start. Quote

Hoss Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) Peyton Manning is really really bad. Two consecutive Broncos plays that should've been TDs - the pick by Von Miller and the Manning miss. Argh. Peyton Manning is really really bad. You're welcome for that TD. Hoss Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 The NFL really needs to reconsider their automatic first down rules. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 I really hate the intentional grounding rules in this league. Brady has had two do far that should be called by any reasonable logic. Quote
