K-9 Posted February 26, 2015 Report Posted February 26, 2015 OK -- again, you are making a bunch of factual assertions here. What are they based on? Long time relationships. GO BILLS!!! Quote
dudacek Posted February 26, 2015 Report Posted February 26, 2015 Nice truck. Isn't McCown/Manuel essentially Orton/Manuel and Kolb/Manuel? - an OK veteran placeholder who can be serviceable if the kid can't get to done? Quote
inkman Posted February 26, 2015 Report Posted February 26, 2015 Who, in the last 3 years, have the Bills been in position to draft or acquire through trade or free agency who is actually good? The only one I can think of is Alex Smith, and even he was suddenly incapable of winning once his defense fell apart to injury. From my memory, there haven't been anything else you could even argue was a missed opportunity. Smith isn't good either. Manuel can do what Alex does and more. People get enamored with a name. Watch the player. Blech. Quote
qwksndmonster Posted February 26, 2015 Report Posted February 26, 2015 It'll truly be a Buffalo truck when its smattered in a layer of dirt, 3 layers of ice, and a pile of snow. Quote

Oh, I agree, hence the comment about his defense. I just used him because I anticipated somebody using him as an example of a missed opportunity. Quote

We had talks with SF regarding Smith and would have liked to trade for him, but KC offered a much better draft choice in return. GO BILLS!!! Quote
calti Posted February 27, 2015 Report Posted February 27, 2015 Smith isn't good either. Manuel can do what Alex does and more. People get enamored with a name. Watch the player. Blech. smith is waaay better than EJ...come on now lets stop the silly stuff. Quote
MattPie Posted February 27, 2015 Report Posted February 27, 2015 Rex Ryan's new truck. That's may be the most ridiculous thing I've seen in months. I guess someone doesn't have a clue how to drive in the snow. Quote
SwampD Posted February 27, 2015 Report Posted February 27, 2015 Rex Ryan's new truck. It's awful. I want one. Quote
inkman Posted February 27, 2015 Report Posted February 27, 2015 smith is waaay better than EJ...come on now lets stop the silly stuff. Sorry Alex Smith is at best an average QB Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted February 27, 2015 Report Posted February 27, 2015 Sorry Alex Smith is at best an average QB Yup. He's the living embodiment of a game manager--he wins when everything is perfect, but when his team has to rely on him, he cannot make those around him better and lead to victory. He has ONE season with more than 18 TDs FFS! Quote
dEnnis the Menace Posted February 27, 2015 Report Posted February 27, 2015 Yup. He's the living embodiment of a game manager--he wins when everything is perfect, but when his team has to rely on him, he cannot make those around him better and lead to victory. He has ONE season with more than 18 TDs FFS! And it took him to the last game last year to throw a TD to a receiver!! Quote
calti Posted February 27, 2015 Report Posted February 27, 2015 Sorry Alex Smith is at best an average QB He is at best an above avg QB. Yes hes usually average . Which still makes him way better than EJ. Quote

dudacek Posted February 27, 2015 Report Posted February 27, 2015 I wonder what would make a quarterback pick Cleveland over Buffalo? To me, Rex Ryan, plus Pegula bucks, plus that defence should make the Bills a more attractive destination. Quote

To me, Rex Ryan, plus Pegula bucks, plus that defence should make the Bills a more attractive destination. Pegula bucks don't mean a thing if the team doesn't want to give them to you. The fact that he got a THREE YEAR DEAL is ridiculous. And I'm glad we didn't give it to him. Quote

Well I'm only speculating here but im willing to bet that we weren't offering him a 3 year deal. I'm pretty surprised that's what he got Quote

nfreeman Posted February 28, 2015 Report Posted February 28, 2015 Was it a real 3-year deal though? i.e. were the economics structured such that Cleveland can't just cut him anytime with no real loss? Quote

That Aud Smell Posted February 28, 2015 Report Posted February 28, 2015 Who knows why he signed with Cleveland, although I am curious. Maybe the Greg Roman ground and pound wasn't his cup o' tay? Quote
