shrader Posted November 25, 2015 Report Posted November 25, 2015 Had to wear a Pats jersey at work today. Lost a friendly bet. Fortunately, it was a Randy Moss one. The other guy better have been offering up something like sex with his wife in order to balance out the odds a bit. Quote

Hoss Posted November 25, 2015 Report Posted November 25, 2015 The war for clicks took an ugly turn tonight. Reports were running rampant that Rams WR Stedman Bailey got shot in the head... NFL's Mike Silver decided this would be appropriate to tweet while so many were begging for a legitimate source: I will have news on Rams WR Stedman Bailey posting momentarily on http://NFL.com Seriously? Just say it. People are wondering if he's alive or dead or whatever... And you post some click bait? . Anyways, Bailey got shot in the head but the wound is considered to be non-life threatening. Hoss Posted November 25, 2015 Report Posted November 25, 2015 (edited) Live look in at Swamp The situations aren't even remotely similar. Verified Twitter account... Anonymous message board. Teasing information with a link... Providing all the info available in a place where clicks don't matter. Somebody got shot in the head... Somebody may have committed a nasty crime. It's a funny retort but it falls short of what you wished it meant. But I'm glad you decided to go this route to call out a poster instead of allowing there to possibly be a conversation about something they felt was worth addressing (because we all know where this will go from here). Yep. Just about what I expected. You're right, no similarities at all. My bad. Edited November 25, 2015 by SwampD Quote
Samson's Flow Posted November 25, 2015 Report Posted November 25, 2015 Sounds like T-Mobile will be a go for Sunday By the way he was holding his arm late, this is shocking news to me. It looked like a pretty bad AC joint injury to me. Quote
Eleven Posted November 25, 2015 Report Posted November 25, 2015 I disagree. The corner or safety, whichever was on the cover was right there. They let up after they hear the whistle. If not they could easily make that tackle. It was Darby and he was ready to crush him. Quote
Eleven Posted November 25, 2015 Report Posted November 25, 2015 Wow. Back page of the last section of today's WSJ has an excerpt from Concussion. Tagliabue got a bunch of doctors to try to pressure a medical journal to retract the very first CTE-NFL study. Insipid. And I can't believe that the doctors went along with it. Just horrible human beings. Quote

But I also hope those who go into the profession aren't doing it because of the money. They usually excitedly introduce their family to Doctor Sandmonster. On Sunday I got aggressively hugged by a nurse that I never met just because she liked my dad so much. Maybe my dad is just the best guy ever, I dunno. Maybe Woody will share his experiences. Quote
