TrueBlueGED Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 Are they bordering on Hodgson soft? I would not compliment these individuals in such a way as to compare then to Hodgson. TrueBlueGED Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 I didn't mean "live" like at the game. I meant "live" like "he's not recording it and skipping the BS for some reason." See, I don't understand how people can record a game and watch it later when they know the outcome--half of the excitement comes from not knowing what happens and living in the moment. I've often tried to record games I was going to miss, and I never end up watching them, it just isn't nearly fun enough if it isn't live. To each there own, I suppose. Quote

It's only live for those in the stadium. It's delayed for the rest of us. It's just a matter of degree. This actually kind of blew my mind recently when I read that those watching sports on satellite can be up to 10 seconds behind the play. It's less for cable and virtually nothing for radio. The delay is much longer online. Moral of the story: for the vast majority of us, the Sabres will win the Stanley Cup before we realize it. We've waited decades, what's a few more seconds? Quote

If I'm successful avoiding the score until I get home, then I just go out and lock myself in my man cave and I'm home free. Quote

Wyldnwoody44 Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 If I can castrate Myself from the day, and not knowing the score I can do it, flying home from Hawaii I Made it all the way across the country, 3 layovers, countless people on the plane and DVR the Miami game couple weeks ago, got picked up at airport way early into the morning and was pumped to watch it after going out of my way to not see it, when I turned airplane mode off, I got a spam email from the bill that said bills win! In the header, I was deflated beyond belief. I watched but it wasn't the same Quote

GoPre Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 Watched the first period of game 7 against the Senators in 07. Had something important I had to attend, so I recorded periods 2 and 3. Was I able to wait until I got home to watch the game w/out knowing the outcome? Hell no! Was able to deny the urge a couple of times, but caved and went to see the final score. And of course my response was sob! Have never attempted to record a game since then. Simply know I either can't hold it off or someone will tell me. Remember Seinfeld finding out the score of a Mets game from Kramer? Yeah, it's tough to pull off. At least for me it is. Quote

Yet I know at some point in the future I will record an important game I can't watch, only to delete it upon returning home. Quote

Lanny Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 Honestly, yes. They are missing some huge pieces, we're healthy, have had 11 days to prepare and rest, and we have learned from last game. I swear to ###### though if we don't jam his wr's at the line, I'll lose it, because then it means we haven't and apparently can't learn anything from our mistakes If you're jamming at the line be ready for a healthy dose of pick/rub routes. WildCard Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 If you're jamming at the line be ready for a healthy dose of pick/rub routes.True, but it's the only thing I've seen work against Brady. Giving his targets a free release just let's his >2s delivery time work like it's supposed to Quote

Sabre Dance Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 (edited) A key to a Buffalo win is to get to Brady early in the game. He may complete a bunch of passes at first, but if you blitz him and knock him around a little, he gets rattled. That usually means he gets "happy feet" and/or takes an extra second to throw the ball. That can make a difference. Even if it doesn't, Brady still gets knocked around, and that can be almost as satisfying as a Bills' win. Almost. Edited November 23, 2015 by Sabre Dance Quote
