TrueBlueGED Posted November 18, 2015 Report Posted November 18, 2015 Rob Ryan is a truly awful defensive coordinator, one of the worst in the league. But maybe he's one of those guys who got promoted too far and could be valuable in a lesser role. I have no idea and I'm definitely not advocating for it, but he wouldn't be the first guy to fall into that category. Quote

TrueBlueGED Posted November 18, 2015 Report Posted November 18, 2015 What's interesting about this is is Rex always has two cb's that are in that list. So, it makes me wonder, does Rex make great DB's, or is he the beneficiary of them? I think his system requires quality DBs to work properly--the ability to hold press man while he blitzes a zillion other players. Huge part of the reason the Jets defense was merely good last year rather than great is because their corners were utter garbage and Rex had to play a ton of zone, which is not conducive to everything else he wants to do. And this is probably the most vexing thing about the Bills defense this season. He has the DBs (okay, our FS position is currently a disaster, but still) to be aggressive across the board, yet far too often it seems passive. I'm sure many will disagree, but it's like he's trying to incorporate too much of what Schwartz did with just letting the line do the bulk of the work, and has kind of lost himself as a result because it's just a bad fit for the rest of his scheme. woods-racer Posted November 19, 2015 Report Posted November 19, 2015 One of the commentators put it very well, sad and beautiful. My wife's grandmother died the day her husband died, sadly her body has lived on. 70 years of marriage and her will caved, but her body keeps going. She cares about nothing or nobody, just wants the grieving to end. Quote

You want Houston to win because they could still get the division, and I really doubt a WC team comes out of the South. Meanwhile, Jets only path in is the WC, same as us. Go Texans! Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted November 22, 2015 Report Posted November 22, 2015 Ah makes sense, and we have the tiebreaker against the Colts already, go Yates!!! Quote
