Eh, he was just going for the pick on that one.

Hoss just put Tannehill into the HoF with that throw.

HoF of what? Sh!tty quarterbacks? Quarterbacks that the Bills sodomize, regularly?

My local does touchdown shots. And not fruity / weak, either. This may be a long evening. May it be so.

Eleven's probably dead, right?

Oh he's good

To be fair to the rest of us, he'd still have gotten a ton of carries in this game even if Jackson was still around :)

Tannehill:Hoss as O'Reilly:Me.

yea yea yea  :P

While I think its fair to disagree with the decision to cut freddy, I think it was completely foolish for those saying it wasnt a legitimate football decision.  That was whaley bashing at its absolute finest.  Dude drafted williams in the 5th round.  Props?

It's a fine day to beat Miami!

I wouldn't be surprised if Philbin is canned tomorrow. The Dolphins looked like they didn't want to be there.

Those 2 announcers were terrible.

Otherwise, not much to dislike in that performance.

Percy Harvin and Charles Clay both look like excellent pickups.

Oh, HELL YES.

Dammit, I hate that team. This was a freaking hammering.

We watched te game with a buddy of mine who's a Dolphins fan. Right before the game he looks at us and goes, "Guys, I know we're going to get killed, just don't be ducks about it"

I haven't been so annoyed by announcers in awhile

So what did you quack back at him?

We played the Shout song at every Bills score, danced like idiots and samg to it, and shotgunned beers everytime we scored. We quit chugging after it hit 24-0 at the half

Edit: Just caught that typo :D

As a side note, how happy is everyone with Tyrod? And, how happy are we all that it's not

Meh Cassel? Or Bradford, or Kaepernick?

I am trying with every fiber of my being to not get carried away. It's only three starts, one of which was a clunker in my view. Despite the high completion percentage, he does have a tendency to miss high, which can cause tipped picks or might get a receiver killed at some point. He didn't handle the pressure against the Pats well at all, and seems to fall back in the pocket rather than climb it.

But hot damn, has he looked good overall. This isn't a case where he's getting lucky and his receivers are making him look good or where his accuracy is hitting when we know it's bad giving the illusion of accuracy (hi Fitz)...he just looks good. Even the throws he misses are in many cases catchable, or very nearly so--he just doesn't seem to miss bad. I mentioned earlier in the thread that's what really gets me excited--I think those near misses can become hits with more experience and comfort in the pocket. And man, he's not even using his legs as a primary asset like so many other athletic QBs when they first start playing. As defenses get more tape he might start to look worse, and he's had the luxury of playing with a lead in 2/3 games, but I don't think this is all smoke and mirrors.

If you look around the league, you'll see a lot of QBs who have won a lot of games (including playoffs) while displaying similar issues to what Taylor has shown so far. We just might freakin' have something. I haven't been this excited by a quarterback's play on the field since the first half of Bledsoe's first season here. We just might freakin' have something--he's been much better than average, and even if he settles into "just average" the rest of the way, we're making the playoffs. If he's better? We could do something once there.

Climbing the pocket is something I would like to see him get better at, and he does have a tendency to throw high sometimes, but I agree: overall he has been everything we could have hoped for, and more. The illusion of accuracy is a really good point, and it's something I remember very solidly with Fitz. My buddy is a big Jets fan, and he's convinced they can work with Fitz and Gailey to make the postseason; I told him to wait one more month and get back to me.

And you're right, as good as Taylor has been, it's the game film on him that has me so excited. He wants to throw the ball (something I really worried about with his wheels), he makes good decisions, he isn't locked into one target (he spread the ball around a ton today), and he can make NFL throws (i.e. out routs, curls with the db draped over the wr so he has to throw it low, etc.) The way he waited for Hogan to split the zone on that deep ball was a thing of beauty.

I don't want to get ahead of myself either, but we could have something here. It looks like he learned a lot from Flacco. Maybe more teams should stop throwing their rookies in the fray and start developing late round guys behind good/great QBs where they can learn.

My money is on Tyrod.  Ozzie Newsome in Baltimore has an eye for talent.  If Flacco wasn't in B'more, my guess is Taylor would be starting QB.  I could see Buffalo playing a very heavy run first O including the QB.

Now granted, I have not seen him throw a single pass.  This is just a hunch.

I was the first to come out in support of TT in this thread. One poster went so far as to call it a 'social experiment'. I'm delighted. He looks like he did indeed learn the deep game from Flacco.

Now on to Sammie.  Is it too early to label him 'fragile'?  Dude always seems to be dinged up.

If you want to have some fun, start on page 80 (beginning of training camp) and read this boards reaction to the state of QB play and the Buffalo Bills.

One more and its on to the Giants...  The progression continues.  Don't get too high, don't get too low..  It's only September after all.

It's kind of scary to think that we may be the second best team in the entire AFC.  Unfortunately it's a very distant second.

One key injury could change that.   :flirt:

I think through three weeks:

Patriots

Bengals

Broncos

Bills

Still undecided about KC.  Beat GB in GB tonight and I think they are in the conversation.

Miami is so awful, yet I get the crazy feeling that Suh will be the one who winds up delivering that key injury.

And speaking of offseason signings, I wonder when the Bills start to talk about getting an extension for Incognito.  If he keeps this up a few more weeks, they're going to have to look into it.

I think that's always the plan, just getting that good/great guy in the first place is the hard part.

Harvin, too.
