Cereal Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 Bills only signed Dareus to take the spotlight away from the Sabres signing Franson. Haha, yeah, Kevin Sylvester was joking, Couldn't they have waited until after 12pm to break the Dareus news? :D Quote

woods-racer Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 And the Sabres only signed him because they had to fill their Cody quota What? We have to have 2 every year? I think this is the start of Cody Gate. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 (edited) And the Sabres only signed him because they had to fill their Cody quota Has the team had any Cody other than Hodgson or McCormick? (And now Franson?) If not, I think that brings the number of Codys level with the number of Corys/Coreys (Tropp, Conacher, Sarich). Edited September 10, 2015 by That Aud Smell Quote

You're not going to win a cup that way. (bonus points to anyone that can name him, I certainly couldn't even though he played 134 games. Quote

Weighing in our favour, we've had a bunch of Dougs and at least two Waynes. Edited September 10, 2015 by That Aud Smell Quote
calti Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 That is the most mis-represented piece of Belichek history ever. The Bills shredded that defense. The problem was two fold, Levy wouldn't force Kelly to keep pounding Thomas and the defense couldn't make a tackle to save their lives. If either of those things happened, cheating Bill would have been forced to explain his defensive strategy that had his defensive lineman sucking air as Thurman ran through them like a warm knife through butter.chicken or the egg. did belichek trick the bills offense into 19 min of offense and 19 pts??? yes the bills undersized D was giving up 3 and 1/2 yds per carry sadly. Slow torture. And lets face it----our hall of fame receiver choked. IF IF IF.....Marv got outcoached by BB. Tuna was like the queen--ruler in name only. We saw Tunas coaching talent when he didn't have BB Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 If Belichick were so infallible he'd still be coaching the Browns. Quote

WildCard Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 Most anticipated season in a decade, and we're caught up reminiscing about the girl who got away Quote
woods-racer Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 And the season starts now. Squeeelers at the Cheaters . Whoo hoo. Can I hope the rapist and cheater each brake a Theismann bone and not be considered evil? Go Team!! Quote

dEnnis the Menace Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 The fact that Pittsburgh, with the personnel they had, racked up 485 yards of offense, is very pleasing. Hopefully we can replicate and actually finish... Quote

That Aud Smell Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 ^ Unmitigated gall. The bolded portion of the statement from the Steelers' website is just perfect. I can just see one of those "rogue" flunkies perched somewhere in the stadium, turning dials up and down as that was happening. Such conduct, of course, goes on without the knowledge or involvement of Belichick or any other ranking official with the team. The broadcast was so loud that the Steelers coaches were unable to communicate, and the NFL rule is that if one team’s headsets are not working the other team is supposed to be forced to take their headsets off. It’s what the NFL calls the Equity Rule. Strangely enough, whenever an NFL representative proceeded to the New England sideline to shut down their headsets, the Steelers headsets cleared. Then as the representative walked away from the New England sideline, the Steelers’ headsets again started to receive the Patriots game broadcast. Quote

Drunkard Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 The Patriots* are still cheating? Color me surprised. Word on the street is that these are Belichick's and Brady's last year in Massholeland so I guess they want to go out on top. Quote

calti Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 I would also argue that pro teams have no idea how to develop qb's. that's true. they try to transition them too quickly from runners to stay in the pocket. they are ruining kap like they ruined many others. A very slow transition as the QB ages I think would be the key. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 Wall Street Journal has a terrific article on the issue of college football and NFL QB prospects. Google it, if you want to read it. If I link it here, it will paywall you (but if you Google it, you should see it for free). Quote
