JujuFish Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 Matt Cassel ain't care about taking a hit. He also reinforces the stereotype about white guys and jumping. Quote
Doohicksie Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 ...and now it looks like a preseason game. Quote
darksabre Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 I'm really enjoying all the two point conversion tries. Quote
Hoss Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 (edited) I'm really enjoying all the two point conversion tries. It's because their kicker got hurt. But I agree. Go for it. Edited August 29, 2015 by Hoss Quote
Claude_Verret Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 Glass Goodwin. Stick to track, kid. I don't know...320 lb DL coming down hard can cause damage. Quote
ubkev Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 I don't know...320 lb DL coming down hard can cause damage. Yes it can. He gets hurt every game. Quote
Doohicksie Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 I like these white-one-uniforms. They're so AFL. Quote
Taro T Posted August 29, 2015 Author Report Posted August 29, 2015 So, does this game finally put the 'EJ is trash' storyline out the window? Hoping this keeps Cassel out of the driver's seat (not that he was particularly bad, but the other 2 looked good and have far higher upsides). Quote
Doohicksie Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 I think the starter will be TT and EJ will be the backup. I also think TT won't make it through the season injury free and EJ will get his chance to start. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 (edited) So, does this game finally put the 'EJ is trash' storyline out the window? Considering Roethlisberger looked like the worst QB on the field, I would hope nobody puts that much weight on this game. Edit: I mean really, EJ threw two passes. They were perfect, but...two passes. Edited August 29, 2015 by TrueBlueGED Quote

So, let me rephrase it: do the 3 preseason games to date, which culminated today, finally put the 'EJ is trash' storyline to bed? Quote
JujuFish Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 (edited) Taylor has converted all 4 third downs so far. Still want to see EJ really get to play with the starters, because 2 dropbacks is nothing, but I would be happy with Tyrod as our starter. Edit: and there's his playmaking ability with his feet. Edited August 29, 2015 by JujuFish Quote
darksabre Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 Man Tyrod is fast. Dan Carpenter has been miserable today. Quote

I also think TT won't make it through the season injury free and EJ will get his chance to start. Alter that to Cassel as the in-game #2, and I'd agree. Though if Taylor is injured, I'd expect EJ to get the next start. Quote
WildCard Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 If you think Dalton is good your right to have QB opinions is officially revoked. While I agree with you, that is a pretty bad argument to make... "If you don't agree with me then you can't have a voice!" I'm sure WildCard's sense of humor is attuned to get it ;) I laughed this morning when I saw it, I've just been holed up at work all day :D Quote
Hoss Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 My thoughts on the day: Anything but Tyrod is a strange decision. He locked up the job today. Matt Cassel is "Meh Cassel." Backup. EJ did just enough to become valuable in a trade. The defense was butt. Quote
darksabre Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 Great throw by EJ. The line is giving him a lot more time than he's had in the past. Quote
Doohicksie Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 The line is giving him a lot more time than he's had in the past. Wondering what we'd think of EJ if he'd had a good line the whole time. Quote
darksabre Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 Wondering what we'd think of EJ if he'd had a good line the whole time. Being able to step up and throw is so crucial. All of our QB's seem to be benefiting from our O Line. That Willis kid got messed up real bad. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 So, let me rephrase it: do the 3 preseason games to date, which culminated today, finally put the 'EJ is trash' storyline to bed? Better :) My thoughts on the day: Anything but Tyrod is a strange decision. He locked up the job today. Matt Cassel is "Meh Cassel." Backup. EJ did just enough to become valuable in a trade. The defense was butt. Whoever came up with that nickname is the greatest. It's perfect. Separately, Roethlisberger may pass for 5000 yards this season because that defense isn't going to stop anybody. Quote
Johnny DangerFace Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 Can anyone explain me the rational behind wanting to trade EJ? If he has the potential to be a good QB then he is exactly what we need, even on the bench... Quote
