WildCard Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 He's the Bills version of Grigorenko. Pushed into the big time too early, development hampered, hope that he can contribute.... Very true. Good comparison Quote
That Aud Smell Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Grigorenko and Manuel? Well. One was an elite talent whose work ethic has made his ultimate success uncertain. The other is a somewhat uncertain talent whose work ethic must forge his ultimate success. Quote

Hoss Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 The early reviews on the QBs are worse than I thought was possible. If we had even a mediocre guy back there like Andy Dalton or Colin Kaepernick I would be wondering how deep in the playoffs we would be going... Not if we'll be able to manage a winning record. I'm feeling as excited as ever about the Bills. 9-7 last year with Orton who wasn't special. But there's no doubt Orton made some throws that won us a few games. I'm not sure we've got a guy who can do that. We've got some guys that will lose us some games if given the chance. It is only OTAs, but it's not looking promising. Quote

It's OTAs, the entire offense is learning yet another new scheme, there's a lot of new pieces. The QBs and their targets need to build chemistry. I'd wait until training camp to make any sort of judgement on these guys. I never judge a team based on OTAs. Not to mention, Eric Wood and someone else on the offense said it has been very difficult trying to install the new offense with as disruptive a defense as we have (most of these guys played in Pettine's D so it's not that new to most of the starters). I'm not trying to be an apologist for them, but there are a myriad of reasons for the slow development in the spring. Quote

He made some throws in his first few starts that won games, but was a huge liability under center after those first few games. I see no reason to think whichever turd wins the job can't do the same. Even terrible QBs have a couple good games each year. Quote
WildCard Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 @AllbrightNFL: #Broncos attempted to trade Peyton Manning this off-season to the Houston #Texans per more than one source in position to know. (1/2) @AllbrightNFL: 2/2 Certain elements of Broncos organization wanted Osweiler era to begin this season. @AllbrightNFL: Have two unrelated official sources on this, would be a hilariously oddly coordinated lie, if what they were telling me was untrue. TrueBlueGED Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 I realize Manning isn't what he used to be. BUT, nobody can possibly want the Osweiler era to start. Not even Brock Osweiler. Quote
Hoss Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 The Broncos STRONGLY denied that and Albright has been on an island with several strange reports before. Quote

Hoss Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 It was reported earlier this offseason by somebody that Peyton wanted to be a Texan when he was a free agent but they told him they were satisfied with Matt Schaub. Quote

None of the injuries were serious, from what I've read. Just an idiot riding his sportscar hard. Quote

No thanks. It's only media problems and at this point I'm not sure there's even a spot for him with Brown and Powell playing so well (according to their brief camps) Quote

It takes at least a year for the league to issue a suspension for this kind of stuff. I don't think they need him anyway but a suspension would not be an issue. Quote
WildCard Posted July 6, 2015 Report Posted July 6, 2015 This is too good. On this week's edition of "The Rich Eisen Podcast," Eisen passed along a version of the story from Warren Sapp, who was a teammate of Russell's on the Oakland Raiders. The coaches would send Russell home with a game-plan DVD loaded with plays and ideas to study. Suspecting that their bonus-baby quarterback was skipping his homework, the coaches slipped in a blank DVD one day. When Russell returned, he reportedly said the game plan looked good to him. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000210130/article/jamarcus-russell-and-the-raiders-blank-dvd-caper Quote
shrader Posted July 7, 2015 Report Posted July 7, 2015 What did the coaches do when they suspected Sapp was beating up hookers? Quote
