darksabre Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 Ristolainen with the save of the game right there. Quote
SwampD Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 They've faced the backup goaltender in 8 of their 13 wins. Tonight would make it 9 of 14. Uh, oh. Is it time to change your diaper? Quote
rumblefish Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 kids holding their own, young legs, exciting Quote
Hoss Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 Paul Hamilton @pham1717 Â Zadorov is minus 8 in his last 5 games. Â Â Uh oh... Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 Â Â Played for the Sabres in the late 80's and wore 33. Not the most famous Benoit today, though. Into the early 90's. He was part of those disastrous series against Montreal in 90 and 91, if I remember that right Quote
sicknfla Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 Just noticed Risto letting the rest of the team leave the ice before him. Not sure if he was watching the replay or if he is taking a leadership role already. Quote
Tondas Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 Into the early 90's. He was part of those disastrous series against Montreal in 90 and 91, if I remember that right Yep. I lived those days, too. Hogue wasn't bad, but the bar was very low in those days. Quote
SwampD Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 Zadorov always makes a great first play, but he doesn't always follow it up with a second or third play. Â Pysyk is impressive. Â It's the first time I've ever seen Armia play. like what I see. Quote

Nitro60 Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 After first period I thought Detroit was caught flat footed. Took the Sabres lightly since they are dressing 5 AHLers. Now the second period is in the books, I think the young turks on the Sabres are playing good hockey and Detroit, getting a ton of shots, are rattled. Will the Sabres fade and lose like they did in Boston? I hope the youngsters keep up the strong play and win. Quote
dudacek Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 Armia missed his last shift. Anyone see/hear why? Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 That's sad. March of '94 was last time we had a lead in Detroit going into third Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 The Sabres really like to block shots. I don't remember seeing Roy or Pomminstein do too much of that. I like these Sabres better. More heart.  GMTM/Nolan Sabres are more motivated than Darcy/Lindy Sabres, for sure.  By the paddle of Enroth, by the glove of Neuvirth  I resemble that remark. Quote
inkman Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 Armia missed his last shift. Anyone see/hear why? Was busy writing chronicles Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 They've faced the backup goaltender in 8 of their 13 wins. Tonight would make it 9 of 14. Â But not by Detroit's choice. Howard is injured. Â Ristolainen with the save of the game right there. Â Amazing stuff right there. Â Paul Hamilton @pham1717 Â Zadorov is minus 8 in his last 5 games. Â Â Uh oh... Â Ain't skeered. There's been a lot of turmoil on the back line. He needs to see this and learn from it. Quote
dudacek Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 (edited) Wirh all the attention given to Corsi these days, I still like the old-fashioned chances stat. Edited December 24, 2014 by dudacek Quote
SwampD Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 Who cares how badly we are outshot as long as the scoring chances are close. Wasn't even sure they even still kept that stat. Quote
wjag Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 So far so good... 20 minutes to glory Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 Nice game management by Neuvirth. Quote

North Buffalo Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 Like Armia's puck skills, still learning speed of game all game, but his puck skill are impressive. Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 WHY is that not goalie interference??? Quote
bunomatic Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 Was busy writing chronicles  lol. I see what you did there.  On a serious note. How many scouts at this game ?  Oh Shite. There goes the lead. Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 Even Redmond said he thought they were gonna call goalie interference on the Red Wings feed. Quote
North Buffalo Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 Sabres look they just got tired. Quote
