WildCard Posted December 20, 2014 Report Posted December 20, 2014 The lowly Avalanche come into Buffalo tonight at 7pm Eastern to face the red hot Sabres. Buffalo has been 7-3-0 in their past 10 while Colorado slumps in a 3-4-3 with two consecutive overtime losses. Tied in the standings at 28 points each, this should be a good match up. Buffalo gets to see Mackinnon in action, and Colorado gets to see what a $4 million USD Brier really looks like. Quote

bob_sauve28 Posted December 20, 2014 Report Posted December 20, 2014 I hope the power play continues to improve. 10%? we can do it! Quote
Hawerchuk Posted December 20, 2014 Report Posted December 20, 2014 What happened to the Avs? They were red hot last season. I know they lost to Minny in the playoffs but they have solid players. Crazy slide backwards so far. It will be cool seeing Briere back in Buffy too. Quote

They're a young group of kids without much leadership that's been there for more than a year. Go ahead, make the Sabre comparisons. You'd probably be right in some ways. Quote

Crazy slide backwards so far. It will be cool seeing Briere back in Buffy too. They stopped outperforming their fundamentals, MacKinnon is struggling in the wing to center transition, Varlamov remembered he was Varlamov, they decided to sign Iginla rather than shoring up the blue line, and they thought Briere was still a good player. That about covers it. Quote

Drunkard Posted December 20, 2014 Report Posted December 20, 2014 They were okay. The current ones are too. The current ones suck. It looks like a stupid blue cape over an ugly yellow jersey with giant gray cuffs. The only way it could look worse would be for them to put the slug logo on it. The only redeeming qualities to the jersey are the captain and alternate patches and the fact that the jersey will soon go the way of the dodo. Quote
Stoner Posted December 20, 2014 Report Posted December 20, 2014 I think everybody got it. ;) I didn't. I still don't. Waldo's friend: "Well this won't be the last time I have a pole in my skull tonight." What? Too soon? Quote

kishoph Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 (edited) No Matt Moulson (sent home sick), maybe we'll see Grigs on the top line. Edited December 21, 2014 by kishoph Quote
