BuffaloBorn Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 Personally, it is my belief that if one has the attitude "Well my vote doesn't count, it's just a stupid ASG, it's rigged".. Well my friends.. I must reiterate the news that our beloved Zemgus Girgensons is the hottest player right now (number 1) and I intend to keep it that way. I have been voting faithfully for: Zemgus Girgensons- Tyler Ennis- Patrick Kane.....Rasmus Ristolainen - Tyler Myers Jhonas Enroth Everybody has Buffalo connections, and even though realistically Only Patty and Girgs get the vote... I vote regardless They say Zemgus gets most of his votes from Latvia, I personably want to tilt it more towards Western/Upstate New York's side I'm curious of who people are voting for/ who people would vote for. shoot link to vote>>> https://allstarvote.nhl.com/ <<<link to vote Quote
Taro T Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 Nope. The Latvians seem to have it covered. Quote
BuffaloBorn Posted December 11, 2014 Author Report Posted December 11, 2014 It's the principal, and it's not over yet. Also I have this sinking suspicion that the NHL will cut him off somehow. I don't know how the rules work.. Is he pretty much a lock? Quote
Randall Flagg Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 Top 3 Forwards, 2D, and Goalie in fan votes get spots in the game, I believe that's how it works, so if he stays a top 3 forward he'll get in. Now, you should take Kane off of yours, because he's Zemgus's closest competition, and put someone a little farther back in, if you want! Quote

I don't know how the rules work.. Is he pretty much a lock? The principal? What exactly is the point of the whole thing, to get a guy into a game that means absolutely nothing? If the principal is to expose the sham that is either fan voting for all stars or the all star game itself, then that is one I could get behind. Quote
bcsaberks Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 If you've ever logged into NHL.com you already have a username and password. Which makes it even more painful. Password retrieval / reset / confirm. Lazy. Quote
MattPie Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 Zemgus may or may not have been the guy picked from Buffalo anyway (there's always one). The only players getting "hurt" by the voting would be the others on Buffalo that may have been picked (there's no way Buffalo is getting two). Ennis is the first that comes to mind, and after that I'm having a tough time thinking of another. Enroth is playing well, but there's no way he's getting picked as one of the top-6 G in the league. X. Benedict Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 The last time I looked at an all-star game, I think Wayne Gretzky won a jeep. Quote

MattPie Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 Ennis, Grigo or Myers would have been our player options Can you pick a player in the AHL for the NHL all-star game? Myers did come to mind, but I think his numbers are terrible even if he doesn't look too bad this year watching the games. Quote

The league hasn't had the "every team gets one" rule for at least a few years now. Are they still doing that rookie game? That was what they used to make sure each team had one representative during the weekend in recent years. Looking over the last all star game roster, New Jersey, Carolina, Columbus, Edmonton, and Colorado all did not have a single player in the actual all star game. Quote
pi2000 Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 (edited) I've been voting for Rory Fitzpatrick 10 times a day since the ballot opened. Edited December 11, 2014 by pi2000 Quote

Iron Crotch Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 I vote for Gus, Risto, and Zadorov 10 times a day. It only takes about 30 seconds to do. Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 I've been voting for Rory Fitzpatrick 10 times a day since the ballot opened. So, I have not checked and nor do I, as it is safe to assume that Rory has the number of days the ballot has been opened times 10, votes Quote
BuffaloBorn Posted December 12, 2014 Author Report Posted December 12, 2014 I just think it'd be great to have Gus in the all-star game.. Meaningless? YES, to an extent. Will the ASG be a good experience for Zemg? Absolutely Sorounding 28 with actual elite talent will only help him Quote
Iron Crotch Posted December 15, 2014 Report Posted December 15, 2014 Bump. Vote for Zemgus! https://allstarvote.nhl.com/#team-BUF Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted December 15, 2014 Report Posted December 15, 2014 I voted once. Enzo is making a great case to make the team. Latvians are making an outstanding case for Zemgus to make the team. Myers is playing well enough, but may not get the votes or the league selection. Quote
