Doohicksie Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 Hodgson this game and Stewart last game as healthy scratches. When your $4 million "scorers" are getting scratched for guys like Mitchell and Flynn, they need a change of scenery. Or maybe he's instilling a sense of urgency. It seemed to work for Stewart who by all accounts pretty much flipped out. Who could we feasibly trade him to? Quote
Drunkard Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 I'd love for Garth to take him and I really love the idea of sending him to Phoenix for a 7th rounder. Hopefully the offer gets leaked to the public and they either take it or the GM in Phoenix has to publically decline and admit his assistant GM was a moron for offering him the deal in the first place. Unfortunately I think it's all just wishful thinking. Quote
dudacek Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 Hodgson has been working harder in spurts, but he is our least effective forward. Hodgson/Stewart/Foligno can play top nine minute someplace in this league, but not on this team. Each has value, but less value than last year. Quote
Brawndo Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 (edited) The Sabres are going to have a helluva time finding someone to take Hodgson's contract off their hands. At this point an expansion draft is their best hope Edited December 11, 2014 by BRAWNDO Quote

Doohicksie Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 The way he freaked out it looks like the sense of urgency is there; you're right in terms of not knowing if it will have the desired effect on his play. Quote
K-9 Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 (edited) The INSTANT the Sabres are locked into a 2015 top 2 pick, I NEVER want to see them lose another game. (Caveot: if a Sabres loss does absolutely nothing to their playoff positioning but it could result in a heart rending playoff miss by the Loafs, Phlyers, or B's or ideally all 3; I'd probably be ok w/ it.) Exactly how I feel as well. But I hate this feeling of ambiguity all the time. Hell, sometimes it's not even that. It's downright HOPING the other team scores. I feel so slimy. GO SABRES!!! BEEEP. Beep Beep Beep. We gotta a dry clean-up in aisle 19 please. Dry clean-up, aisle 19. Will we be needing a shopping cart too, sir? Edited December 11, 2014 by K-9 Quote
Claude Balls Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 Will be interesting to see how the "soft" Stewart comes out tonight. I think the chances of him scoring are much less than him trying to break someones jaw. Frankly, I'd love to see a Gordie Howe hat trick out of him. I know, highly unlikely. There's a better chance of Gus or Foligno getting one. Quote
Stoner Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 I see Pegula got the anthem issue fixed. I knew Brody was alive. Rick slays Rob. Oh it's on. Quote
3putt Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 Where's Yuri's "impassioned" pep talk? Quote

wjag Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 This is what we settle for as a great Sabres period. Boring as hell, 6 SOG, no score. Quote

3putt Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 Lol The Hawks are handing it to the B's. The disparity between the two games is striking. Quote
Hoss Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 Not sure where to put this... @TSNBobMcKenzie: No decision made yet but BUF is seriously considering loaning Nikita Zadorov to RUS for WJC. Murray said on WGR that he's going to sit down with Zadorov and find out what he wants to do. Quote

WildCard Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 (edited) I'd be surprised if Zadorov wants to play in the WJC. He's already dominated it, and it seems like he likes the competition the NHL has to offer Edited December 12, 2014 by WildCard Quote
Iron Crotch Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 My analysis of that period is.... uh.... ....I got nothing. Quote
3putt Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 Its all about the Benjamin's. Pay his nhl salary and he would play bar league if told to do so. Quote
