Sabres Fan in NS Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 Rick and Pat ... see ya. Quote
dudacek Posted December 12, 2014 Author Report Posted December 12, 2014 I wonder when the votes start coming for Dom. I don't think there is any doubt he is the greatest player ever to wear the jersey. He was also the most entertaining. But the way he left the franchise is going to come into play sometime. Quote

Not only the way he left, but what he did before that has him not even in my top two. Soon I will be voting out Dom. It pains me that we may be loosing Gare next. Quote
Taro T Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 Just curious, will there be a follow up thread for Most hated Sabre, or are those choices obvious? Smehlikclearsthepuck...notout. :censored: Quote
Samson's Flow Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 Tight four way race between RJ, Robert, Gare and Pat LaLa. The tension mounts... Quote

LastPommerFan Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 Kids these days ... I can't believe that Gare is likely gone next. To me Danny is more Color Commentator than player. It's not his fault, it's just the way time works. Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted December 14, 2014 Report Posted December 14, 2014 I think we all know who takes this competition Quote
LastPommerFan Posted December 14, 2014 Report Posted December 14, 2014 I think we all know who takes this competition Agreed, but the way he left is going to severely hamper his votes. I mean, who quits mid-season? Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted December 14, 2014 Report Posted December 14, 2014 Guys with balls of steel and razor wire Quote
LastPommerFan Posted December 14, 2014 Report Posted December 14, 2014 Guys with balls of steel and razor wire That's sounds like a terrible medical condition. I guess I'd quit too. Quote
dudacek Posted December 14, 2014 Author Report Posted December 14, 2014 The all-time favourite Sabres top 10: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.Danny Gare 9.Mike Peca 10. Mike Ramsey Poll is reset. Now TWO VOTES ONLY It will be just one vote when we get to the top five. Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted December 14, 2014 Report Posted December 14, 2014 Gare is gone ... :( Rick and my first vote against (for?) Dom. Hasek was one of the best Sabres ever, but I will never forgive him for quitting on the team and, especially, the fans. I'm not talking about when he left the team. He wanted a cup and he realized the best way to get it. I don't blame him for that. What happened in the 96/97 playoffs is inexcusable to me. Quote
Eleven Posted December 15, 2014 Report Posted December 15, 2014 I am amazed at LaFontaine's resilience here. The guy is and was an Islander. Quote

Eleven Posted December 15, 2014 Report Posted December 15, 2014 It's like I don't even know you. Oh come on man! When you ask a non-Buffalo hockey fan who Pat LaFontaine was, do you think that person thinks of the Sabs first? No way. I say, sir, no way! Quote

Eleven Posted December 15, 2014 Report Posted December 15, 2014 No idea truthfully. I do know he pulled an almost hasek to leave the island. He pulled more than a Hasek. He pulled a Peca. So, fair enough. Quote
LastPommerFan Posted December 15, 2014 Report Posted December 15, 2014 He was playing in buffalo when NHL '94 came out. You ask 100 people under the age of 40, 99 of them will say he was a Sabre. Quote

I just asked 100 three-year-olds. 99 of them didn't know what I was talking about, and the other one pissed himself. Quote
Stoner Posted December 15, 2014 Report Posted December 15, 2014 I just asked 100 three-year-olds. 99 of them didn't know what I was talking about, and the other one pissed himself. I read that quickly as three 100-year-olds. I wondered how you got in here after hours. Alas, now I get it. The result would be about the same though. Quote

SwampD Posted December 15, 2014 Report Posted December 15, 2014 I am amazed at LaFontaine's resilience here. The guy is and was an Islander. Absolutely. I would bet that more people think of him as an Islander than a Sabre. Quote
MattPie Posted December 15, 2014 Report Posted December 15, 2014 Absolutely. I would bet that more people think of him as an Islander than a Sabre. Or a Ranger for that matter, due to the NYC-media influence. Pat's wikipedia picture is in a Rangers uni. Quote
