OMG! This is fantastic! They could actually make a run at the playoffs!

Hi, Rob.

:w00t:

Everyone talks about keeping our prospects in Rochester to have them learn to win/be a team together; develop some chemistry and comradery. We may not be winning a whole bunch, but it looks like they're starting to develop some comradery. You can have all the talent in the world on your team but if they guys hate each other and don't have fun, you'll never go far.

I needed to see two things happen this year for it to be tolerable: improvement from the kids, and this.

Zemgus is on pace for 44 points. Which would likely put him in the top 50 in scoring for centers. Playing really tough minutes, as a Sophomore, on a ###### team, and maintaining the best +/- on the squad.

This guy.

Seriously. This. Guy.

Man, this guy might just have to rethink his chosen profession. I feel for him about as much as i can for a guy highly paid to entertain. He's been a loyal soldier and a team guy. Busts his arse regardless of the situation. Sucks that this is such a problem for him.

He should retire right now. These are literally brain injuries and they're piling up.

Damn. He's taken a lot of hits to the coconut the last few years... you hate to see a guy forced to retire so young, but it's certainly better than taking the risk at this point.

It could, however, it wasn't enough last year. Not even close. And the goaltending was the same or better.

Last year all the veterans spent most of the year waiting to be traded. This year they're all here for the long haul except maybe Stafford and Stewart. I think this year's team is actually going to try.

Rob's point definitely has merit IMO. I think the current top 6 D is better than last year overall as well. I didn't expect the lack of talent to be an improvement over the "I don't want to be here" mentality of last season though.

If this keeps up I'll have to reevaluate my assertion that GMTM misled us about team improvements.

Definately agree with the bolded. Even the vets that are gonna get traded have to try, because unlike vanek, moulson, ott, and miller, they are not known NHL quantities with inherent value. They need to prove something more than those guys for their next contract.

Sorry, tankers. I was able to watch the first, a bit of the second, and the last of the third. I LOVED it. I loved Foligno beating up on Latta, and I loved the win.

Never apologize for rooting for your team.

It seems we've danced this dance before.

Here they go again, being the Edmonton of the east. The crappy team you don't want to play. If they do make the playoffs, they'll be that 8th seed no one wants to face. But ultimately they won't go far.

Still, considering we're all used to rooting for the underdog, that's a decent place to start. And regardless of whether we get McEichel, we still have a bunch of pics and prospects that should continue to improve the team.

They're not Edmonton, they're the less talented version of Leafs. They are far outplaying their possession stats. It's unsustainable. They're gonna be in the hunt for DFL, but this kind of streak is great to teach the guys what it feels like to string some wins together. Keep that fire burning.

It's a different Enroth the last two games. I said he wasn't starter material recently, and this is why: When a goal was scored on him, he would just have this body language of resignation, like he knew it would happen sooner or later, and once the seal was broken more goals would follow. In the last game, he saw that Neuvirth was playing with a different attitude and when he took over he wasn't playing for himself, he was playing in relief of his teammate, Neuvirth. I think it was a difference it attitude from what he showed earlier this year, but not necessarily at some points in the past. This year he wasn't playing for anything, and he got no support from his team. The last few games there has been some support (goal-wise and defense-wise), so he's actually playing for something again, and not going through the motions.

I think only one of the current tandem will be on the team a year or two from now. I'm not sure which it will be after the last three games. That's kind of a good thing.

I'll accept that this year. Not acceptable for next year.

The way Risto separated the man from the puck in our zoned calmly moved the puck out tonight was very impressive.

The way Risto does everything lately is pretty impressive.
