Hoss Posted November 22, 2014 Report Posted November 22, 2014 I know there are a million threads on prospects and the Amerks, but I want to focus on Tim Schaller. He was signed as a college free agent out of Providence. He turned 24 last Sunday, so he's not "young." Last season he had just 11 goals and 7 assists in 72 AHL games. This season? Had 10 points through 16 games (4+6). His last two games: 4 goals and 5 assists. His stats on the year are now 8-11-19 in 18 games. He's been playing extremely well. Will he ever factor into the plans in Buffalo? Quote
inkman Posted November 22, 2014 Report Posted November 22, 2014 He is a more physical better version of Flynn Quote
dudacek Posted November 22, 2014 Report Posted November 22, 2014 (edited) I gotta dig for the post, but I predicted in the summer Tim Schaller would see action in Buffalo this year and ahead of some of the more hyped players. Edited November 22, 2014 by dudacek Quote
beerme1 Posted November 22, 2014 Report Posted November 22, 2014 He is a more physical better version of Flynn Then he should replace Flynn. And quickly! Quote

inkman Posted November 22, 2014 Report Posted November 22, 2014 I'd rather him replace Mitchell or Hodgson. Mitchell yes. Hodgson needs to start producing so they can move him and get something for him. He has shown the ability to do so in the past, now is not the time to sit him or whatever. Quote

Bob Malooga Posted November 23, 2014 Report Posted November 23, 2014 Joel Armia is the revelation for me...Schaller is one of many bottom-6-type players they have in the system. Armia is what they desperately need, which is why he is so intriguing to me. Quote

darksabre Posted November 24, 2014 Report Posted November 24, 2014 Looks like we might get a look at Schaller or Varone thanks to the McCormick injury. Quote
biodork Posted November 24, 2014 Report Posted November 24, 2014 Looks like we might get a look at Schaller or Varone thanks to the McCormick injury. Maybe... depends on how soon and/or how often they expect Kaleta to play. Quote
