This is seriously putting a crimp in my fantasy hockey team this weekend. I need Nash and St Louis.

Would produce a home-and-home. Buffalo in NY to face the Rangers on the 3rd.

 

The beginning of January would look like:

 

In Buffalo against Florida on January 2nd.

In New York against the Rangers on January 3rd.

In Buffalo against the Rangers on January 5th.

In New Jersey against the Devils on January 6th.

 

That's four games in five days with a lot of back and forth travel (luckily short). They also play on the 8th and 9th. Six games in eight days.

From what I hear, the sticking point is that the Rangers play on the west coast on the 7th and 8th, and they don't want to fly out the day before two games in two nights on the west coast.

The first option makes the most sense. Teams have to fly out west just two nights ahead of time all the time. Deal with it.
