And what about those of us with Lundqvist as our #1 goalie on our fantasy teams? We're just totally screwed this week?

That's just dandy.

:w00t: I was thinking the same thing... I've got a slew of Rangers forwards myself.

Sounds like it was certainly the right decision though.

Sources say they're looking at Monday, January 5.

Would produce a home-and-home. Buffalo in NY to face the Rangers on the 3rd.

The beginning of January would look like:

In Buffalo against Florida on January 2nd.

In New York against the Rangers on January 3rd.

In Buffalo against the Rangers on January 5th.

In New Jersey against the Devils on January 6th.

That's four games in five days with a lot of back and forth travel (luckily short). They also play on the 8th and 9th. Six games in eight days.

They are looking at two options:

1/3 Rangers @ Sabres

1/5 Sabres @ Rangers

or:

1/3 Rangers @ Sabres

1/5 Rangers @ Sabres

3/14 Sabres @ Rangers

These are the two main options, since this involves switching around only two teams. They are looking at other options that involve other teams.

From what I hear, the sticking point is that the Rangers play on the west coast on the 7th and 8th, and they don't want to fly out the day before two games in two nights on the west coast.

And we get three back to backs within a week. Poor Rangers.

Let's screw up two groups of ticket holders. Smart.
