qwksndmonster Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 It wont be like that. It'll be months from now. 11 will have forgotten the whole thing. He'll descend the stairs in his own home in a bathrobe while sipping a cup of warm coffee. He might even hum the theme of Gilligan's Island. Old people do that, right? And then,

And then, I can't think of three things I am less likely to do than those three. Independently or together. But it was pretty funny. Now go play with your coloring book.
dudacek Posted November 4, 2014 Author Report Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) Time to update this thing. Eliminated are Cody Hodgson, Andrej Sekera, Nathan Gerbe, Christian Ehrhoff and (the pick of a whopping 27 of 31 voters) Ville Leino. I'm mildly surprised that Gerbe was a quick cut. The poll has been reset. Looks like you may have to delete your previous vote before it lets you vote again. On to round two Edited November 4, 2014 by dudacek

Sabres Fan in NS Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 The poll isn't showing up for me anymore... Ding ###### the poll is dead. Nobody likes any of the Sabres.
dudacek Posted November 4, 2014 Author Report Posted November 4, 2014 Ding ###### the poll is dead. Or the techie is still trying to figure out the system. Should be working now.
Samson's Flow Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 Huzzah! Votes cast for Gorges, Weber, Regehr and Kaleta. A bunch of mediocre defensemen who never brought the physicality as advertised and Kaleta who can't play more than 10 games without being injured or suspended. Thanks dudacek for sorting out the technical difficulties.
inkman Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 I don't know how Weber isn't winning this current group in a land slide.
dudacek Posted November 4, 2014 Author Report Posted November 4, 2014 I'm really interested in how the poll results compare to the perception I get from reading the board. Stafford, Weber, Pegula, Myers, Miller, Ruff... Players who have received their share of flack - is that a few posters posting a lot, or the general feeling of this community?
ubkev Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 Myers, Foligno, Kaleta, Weber and Moulson. Moulson looks like he's 200 years old this year. Weber is Weber. Kaleta has an apex of 15 points. Foligno is nothing special. And Tyler Myers hasn't scored since he won the Calder.
Sabres Fan in NS Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 Both Pegulas since they are not players. Kaleta ... dirty player and I do not want him on my team ... for years now ........ ----- I think I finally figured this thing out. Thanks for fixing (not as in rigging) the poll, duda.
qwksndmonster Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 I harbor no ill thoughts toward any of the remaining names on the list. I'm basically useless from here on out in the voting. Except Foligno, I guess.

Except Foligno, I guess. I think thats kind of the point. There will come a point when there will not be an obvious name. i.e. choosing between Zemgus and Tim Murray in the current interation.
dudacek Posted November 6, 2014 Author Report Posted November 6, 2014 2nd round of cuts: Foligno Weber, Moulson and Regehr. Darcy's darlings enter the game. I will try to update this once a day.
Eleven Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 Only three votes for Stafford? Something is weird with your poll. If you let the cursor hover over "view," you'll see that about a dozen people voted for him.
qwksndmonster Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 Something is weird with your poll. If you let the cursor hover over "view," you'll see that about a dozen people voted for him. After he changed it, there a vote on Tyler Ennis, whom I never voted for. This poll might be keeping old votes and just putting them in the new slots until the original voter deletes and revotes.
ubkev Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 I voted for everyone but Derek Roy. I'm pretty sure I'm the only person in history to like him.
dudacek Posted November 7, 2014 Author Report Posted November 7, 2014 I recorded the votes using what Eleven suggested and then deleted the poll entirely. I am about to build a new, updated one from scratch. Hopefully that takes care of the problem.
dudacek Posted November 7, 2014 Author Report Posted November 7, 2014 Eliminated: Lydman, Stafford, Kaleta, Enroth, Ott, Kim Pegula This fourth group now entering the game is interesting, since they were all here the last time the team was good. Down to three and close to promotion time in each of group one and two.
dudacek Posted November 8, 2014 Author Report Posted November 8, 2014 I'll give people a bit more time vote before updating this.
dudacek Posted November 9, 2014 Author Report Posted November 9, 2014 Out are Afinogenov, Kotalik, Gaustad, Roy, Hecht and Connolly. In are the last group of guys to wear the goat heads.
X. Benedict Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 I voted for everyone but Derek Roy. I'm pretty sure I'm the only person in history to like him. Roy could probably be Buffalo's first line tomorrow.
Eleven Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 Roy could probably be Buffalo's first line tomorrow. There's no "probably" about it.
dudacek Posted November 11, 2014 Author Report Posted November 11, 2014 Gone are Doug Gilmour, Chris Gratton, Jason Woolley and Thomas Vanek. Vanek is the first surprise for me. I would have bet he would be the favourite from his group, at least he would have been year ago.
