TrueBlueGED
Right. This is embarrassing and expensive. I have no idea why Benoit is in the NHL at all. I don't know why the Sabres have him, because, as you say, Pysyk is ready. There is no point to this person. He adds no value. He is a career minor-leaguer who saw some time on a good team last year, and that's it. I know it's a vet minimum contract, but, still, he is taking a roster spot from someone who might actually be skilled. This is frustrating. People hate on Meszaros, and ok, but this guy is the WORST. He makes Mike Weber look like Bobby Orr. GMTM is pissing me off right now. Angry Eleven activated. I'm positively giddy. Angry Eleven might be my favorite Eleven! :D

Yall have been real ###### quiet. I hope I'm not one of them. Weber brings an attitude that is welcome. He obviously is not the most skilled defender. But I'll take him as a #6-7 D-man anytime. He protects his teammates, his goalie above all others. Benoit is, umm, what is this guy? I'm positively giddy. Angry Eleven might be my favorite Eleven! :D You giddy people are pissing me off, too. Just so you know.

Tondas
I'm not a tanker, but if that's the path, fine. But what's the compelling reason to watch this club this year. Who are we looking at to grow, Girgs and Risto (already know they will be good). Why watch these games besides the fact that it's ingrained in our souls over the years? Because it will make it that much sweeter when the team is good again. Ultimate victory will mean a lot more having come from the darkest depths. I'm serious, by the way. It's why I watch. Eleven
I just turned off ESPN's crap college game of the week. Ohio State leading Illinois or someone 55-7. It looked a lot like this game. It's the same thing, really, except whatever crappy Big Ten/Fifteen/Whatever team that was playing Ohio State actually scored. Eleven
Let's work it into a frenzy if we can. Angry, itself, isn't doing it for me. I need Murray to sign Stafford long term or something so I can go on a real rant.
darksabre
http://www.buffalohockeybeat.com/sabres-showing-lack-of-accountability-on-and-off-the-ice/ Weber said the Sabres showcase little consistency. “We show up one game, we don’t show up the next,” he said. “We show up in shifts, we show up for a period here and there. It’s a continued frustration from years previous for whatever reason we can’t get out of our game.” So we're not just imagining things. Not showing up for games has been a problem for as long as Mike Weber has been a Sabre? So since at least 2010?

EDIT: Also, from the article: "'Whether it’s been on the road or at home, we got to somehow find an identity to get mean, get nasty, get angry,' Sabres defenseman Mike Weber said passionately." This is this only reason I like him. Italics in the original quote. Edited November 2, 2014 by Eleven

We gradually became less talented and people like Weber were forced to play roles they are simply incapable of filling at even an average level. sicknfla
He built so many NHL winners, and so many teams were clamoring for him as a GM last summer, right? That's about right. No, I just think he had no idea how determined upper management was to go all in TANK. I didn't like the PLF or TN hire when it happened. It was a publicity hire only. My point was more that when he resigned it was all we need to know about this organization. It is a much bigger mess than just what we see on the ice. For those that think he was fired it really doesn't matter either way. The differences came from the direction of the team. I just cannot fathom how ownership wants to be this bad? How is that any way to run a business. Throw away seasons for a couple picks? Idiots Edited November 2, 2014 by sicknfla

Nolan with the potential of teaching young'uns, but otherwise, publicity. So PLF figured it out: He was here like an ex-boxer at a casino: He was a greeter. He wasn't here to build a hockey team. He took off once he figured it out. And no one else has hired him to build a hockey team, either.
