zippyfeet Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 sometimes i think that Murray is going to let this limp along until he can make some major player moves. just like sometimes i think i'm watching a nhl team. Quote
inkman Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 (edited) It doesn't get any more accurate or concise than this. Well said. Yeah I've been thinking about how this team will turn it around which lead me to what are their biggest issues. Potato nailed it, improve the D and get some forwards who actually open their eyes in the D zone. The scoring is on the way. Edited October 25, 2014 by inkman Quote
Taro T Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Yeah I've been thinking about how this team will turn it around which lead me to what are their biggest issues. Potato nailed it, improve the D and get some forwards who actually open their eyes in the D zone. The scoring is on the way. Hold steady and get 1/2 of McEichel, bring back Ehrhoff (or an Ehrhoff-type) in FA, and pick up a better goalie in FA and while next year isn't great (or even good) it could be close to a playoff team and should be able to score at least 2/night: Moulson - McEichel - Ennis Hodgson - Grigorenko - Armia Foligno - Girgensons - Gionta Deslauriers - Larsson- McCormick Ehrhoff - Ristolainen Gorges - Myers ??? - Pysyk ??? Enroth/ Neuvirth Spares: Weber, Flynn, ??? I'd expect TM to upgrade a couple of those spots as well via trade. If someone that could play RW w/ Moulson and McEichel could be brought in then Ennis could take Hodgson's spot, Hodgson take Foligno's spot, and Foligno take McCormick's. I wouldn't hate that lineup next year and would like it in '16-'17 w/ Reinhart joining the mix. Quote
