That Aud Smell Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) Uncle Smell, uhmmm, how hairy was his chest? And was it concave? that is more than i ever cared to remember, pal. Or do you just want them to see what a number retirement party looks like to plant the seed that they will retire your number as well? good theory. the choice of the red wings game is a bit strange. maybe he saw the chance for symmetry or synthesis, or, something. in that regard, how messed up would it be if the sabres retired dom's number during a chicago-detroit game? LastPommerFan Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 If Dom had some say in the night and he chose a night we play Detroit then F him. Cancel it. It's like one last FU to the Sabres. We know Dom. We know you left a talent hole that you wouldn't allow to be filled when you left, then won a Cup with Detroit. Or do you just want them to see what a number retirement party looks like to plant the seed that they will retire your number as well? Do we really need to retire his number? There are a whole host of goalies who have lost a SCF with their team. They didn't get their number retired. Sorry. That's a little negative. You know, it will be a great night. We'll all join together to celebrate the greatest goalie to ever play for the Sabres, for the league. It will be great. And the we'll watch the worst team in the history of the league., PA, say hi to dad. You too. It's not your fault. Quote

MattPie Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 I was wondering when we'd get around to the "this player shouldn't have is number retired" conversation! FTR: Yes: 11, 7, 14, 2, 39, NO: 16, 18. Quote
