Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 He just said that in the press conference when asked by Hammy if he was upset at the work ethic in the 1st period. So what does that mean? I think I know....I think PA knows..... God Bless Quote

I am Defecting Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Next frontier in "professionalism," I figure. Quote
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted October 18, 2014 Author Report Posted October 18, 2014 I see you picked up on the vibe too from the game thread. I just want to know who told him. Was it Terry on the phone, munching on some Fiddle Faddle with the cashews in it? Was it Ted B. in his slight alto voice, just after he spent 10 minutes trying to memorize a Marv Levy quote? Was it Battista who told him in his Harvey Firestein voice, then asked Ted to pose for a selfie after the fact that he could tweet out? Poor Ted. I'll still love ya if you do what you feel..... Quote
I am Defecting Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Non-disclosure agreement #onebuffalo Ownership does things third or fourth person. Lower tiers are added to walk through mine-fields. Nolan looks shell-shocked. Quote
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted October 18, 2014 Author Report Posted October 18, 2014 Non-disclosure agreement #onebuffalo You get a lot of non-disclosure agreements done when you build a $70 million college hockey stadium......I mean an "$88 million" college hockey stadium.......... Quote
Brawndo Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Serious question does Nolan get the the point this season where he says eff this and quits? Quote
sicknfla Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 I said it last week and I will repeat it. This has Mike Mularky written all over it. Quote
I am Defecting Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 The guy has got his own non-disclosure agreement factory. By now, nobody who is any good would consider working for him. #malevolentdictator Quote
JJFIVEOH Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Roenick explained it best the other night when commenting on Nolan's comments. Players today are too soft and you risk the possibility of hurting somebody's feelings. Say it coach! Say what's on your mind. If they can't take it they shouldn't be in the pros. Quote
tom webster Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Maybe he was just referring to all the furor his comments caused. I know it's too simple for the tin foil hat brigade , but..,,,. Quote

I am Defecting Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Say it, coach, is right. But if you were in his position, the consequences might look like a gangplank. What's he disembarking to?.. #onebuffalo Quote

bunomatic Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Ahhh. Breath. Before you know it they'll be running Ted out of town again. I thought we were in the process of ridding this team of all the softies. Pee wee s the lot of them. Except Girgensons Quote
3putt Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Nolan has no room to complain about effort when he can't provide direction. He knew the task. Change the direction. Not radically, but put some structure to the rebuild. Teach the youngsters. But that is tough to do when the only direction you can give is what's in your soul. There is no tactical plan game in and game out. It looks like a Chinese fire drill. A monkey can throw a puck on the ice and sit at the podium 60 minutes later. He may a great motivator, but to lead successfully you have to provide direction and I never felt he knew where he wanted to go. Quote

This team out and out sukcs. Mike friggin Babcock couldn't get more out of this team system or not. Quote

I am Defecting Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Ted Nolan: I learned last week, that I can't say what I feel. Last week, I felt that effort solves everything. Now, I feel that I've been trying hard. I've been trying hard, and it hasn't solved anything. What I feel, is like getting drunk on Chippewa, and I can't say that Quote
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted October 18, 2014 Author Report Posted October 18, 2014 I am appreciative some of you put down your palms from adoring the messiah who rode into town on a border collie, long enough to reply. Maybe Tyler Myers having 0 points in 5 games is as simple as, he sucks? But y'all keep clamoring for Yzerman, Chelios, and Shannahan in return...... As a wise man once said.... adiots...... Quote
