Iron Crotch Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 That's what I said I just can't believe how bad this team is getting outshot in these first 3 games. It's unreal. Even when they were bad last year they were getting more shots then they are now. Which is alittle disturbing because I think this team is better than last year's. I know we had Miller and Vanek for alittle while but. I think we collectively underestimated how much losing The Hoff would matter. He definitely mailed it in at the end of last year, but he was the only defenseman who could consistently generate offense. The Hoff was on the ice for 80 of the 150 goals the Sabres scored last year. Quote
WildCard Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 I'm not sure why anyone's surprised at this. We traded away/released our 3 best players sense last October. Coaching is better yeah, but you need talent on the ice. I think we collectively underestimated how much losing The Hoff would matter. He definitely mailed it in at the end of last year, but he was the only defenseman who could consistently generate offense. The Hoff was on the ice for 80 of the 150 goals the Sabres scored last year. Exactly. That last stat is insane Quote
Norcal Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 Why does it seem every team has slammed Reinhart into the boards from behind? Quote
nucci Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 Honestly, I don't think he's Murray's guy, but no sense changing if there is no season to salvage. I agree but Murray can't be too happy watching this. There needs to be at least some visible improvement eventually Quote
Iron Crotch Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 What a shock... another goal against with Benoit and Meszaros out there. Quote

My "these stats have real value" campaign will not end until victory is achieved! :D Quote
... Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 (edited) I agree but Murray can't be too happy watching this. There needs to be at least some visible improvement eventually I think Murray said to himself, "okay, they want this guy? Fine, I'll offer him a contract and let him bury himself with it..." Meanwhile, Neuvirth is in preseason form. Edited October 13, 2014 by sizzlemeister Quote
WildCard Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 There it is, that's the score I expected Quote
skaught Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 There it is, that's the score I expected Oh I imagine there will be more before this ones over, its snowballing already. Quote
SabresBillsFan Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 Haha this is funny what is worse is I have tickets to Anaheim and Los Angeles to watch this sorry team play. Quote

He got all the defensive ice time because he was the only one who could play at an NHL level. Quote
darksabre Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 Would someone put a body on the Anaheim forwards? Quote
SabresBillsFan Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 What a shock... another goal against with Benoit and Meszaros out there. They needed to get to the cap bottom somehow! Quote

Meanwhile, Neuvirth is in preseason form. I wouldn't get too comfy if I were him, I magine TP isn't having a whole lot of fun watching this, just like he wasn't having a whole lot of fun watching Regier's mess, last season. Different circumstances sure, but this team is beyond embarrasing. Quote

SabresBillsFan Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 36-8 SOG. wow. It's disturbing. Even the other bad teams aren't that bad. It just always blew my mind how many thought he was expendable or how his every mistake would get jumped on. Quote
WildCard Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 It's disturbing. Even the other bad teams aren't that bad. Carolina could do worse against a top 5 favorite to win the cup this year Quote
Nitro60 Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 Sabres are treating this like a pick up game. First 3 games in....the team can't score, play defense in their own end and the PP is nonexistent. Hope the young guys start to shine but it is a a rerun of the past 2 seasons. Quote
Iron Crotch Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 (edited) Well there are two NHL teams left with zero points in the standings and they square off tomorrow. It just might be an entertaining game. Edited October 13, 2014 by Potato Quote
darksabre Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 A little chocolate milk! Gionta needs to sit. He's exhibited zero % of his expected "leadership". Quote
