With any luck, it was a demoralizing night for the Eulers and after the Sabres biff and end their 13 game streak of perfection against Ryan (or more likely his backup) they both can pick back up where they left off. Desert dogs taking 0 in Loaf Land. It was a good night.
Brawndo Posted January 30, 2015 Report Posted January 30, 2015 Great night for the Sabres. Miller reportedly getting the start for the Canucks tonight
Taro T Posted January 30, 2015 Author Report Posted January 30, 2015 And the Sabres are officially more than 1/2 way through this season's tank. They've got 67 points and only need 63 more to clinch.
Hoss Posted January 30, 2015 Report Posted January 30, 2015 Let's not celebrate too much. It's one game. Still barely over halfway... Good win tonight. On to the next one.

Hoss Posted January 30, 2015 Report Posted January 30, 2015 Sizzle with the game changer. I don't understand those rooting for Buffalo tomorrow night just because we won tonight. Why root for them to undo the work they just did tonight? Keep it going.

It was already pointed out yesterday that courier/new courier will format better. They way my tablet is set up, playing w/ the font isn't as simple as clicking a font button; which is why I'd said I'd change the formatting next week when I've got a bit more time. Thanks for fixing the format today. If you can also do it the next 3 days, that'd be great. It'll save me a lot of work and Tank some. Sizzle with the game changer. I don't understand those rooting for Buffalo tomorrow night just because we won tonight. Why root for them to undo the work they just did tonight? Keep it going. Why? Because some of us just want the #1 pick; but aren't looking for historic futility records.
Wyldnwoody44 Posted January 30, 2015 Report Posted January 30, 2015 I reached a point where I forgot they started playing after the all star break.... I swung by the lounge the other night to see highlights of the 4-1 loss in Calgary and though no sh1t, they're back.... Glad to see they're keeping they're winning ways in record form
Hoss Posted January 30, 2015 Report Posted January 30, 2015 Futility records worth keeping an eye on (Carrion language turned off for this post and the responses to it): -17 straight losses (Washington in 74-75 and San Jose in 92-93). Currently at 13 -16 shutout losses (Columbus in 06-07). Currently at 8 -9.35% on the powerplay (Tampa Bay in 97-98). Currently at 10.5%
kas23 Posted January 30, 2015 Report Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) Such a beautiful win last night. Could go down in history as one of the most clutch wins in Sabres history. Almost as great as the Miracle on Ice. Why? Because some of us just want the #1 pick; but aren't looking for historic futility records.I'm sure you'll agree, but the end justifies the means here. I couldn't care less if they win-out the rest of their games with Ryan Vinz in goal just as long as they get that #1 pick. There's no room for moral victories in the CHL and the margin of error is going to be razor thin this year. Edited January 30, 2015 by kas23
sicknfla Posted January 30, 2015 Report Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) I hope they set every futility record there is. Not just to guarantee McEichel but because I want these asswipes that run this team to feel the embarrassment of putting together the worst team in NHL history. MAYBE that will be the low point and there starts to be some freaking accountability around here to ice an NHL team. Edited January 30, 2015 by sicknfla
CallawaySabres Posted January 30, 2015 Report Posted January 30, 2015 It will be nice when there is a 10 point cushion so maybe, just maybe a loss will start to feel good again. Until that cushion is reached, keep scraping the barrel.

Hoss Posted January 30, 2015 Report Posted January 30, 2015 Ahem. ;) Apologies. Knew somebody had posted it earlier but thought it was sizzle. MATTPIE WITH THE GAME CHANGER.

They are doing exactly what they set out to do, why in the world would they be embarrassed?
Taro T Posted January 30, 2015 Author Report Posted January 30, 2015 They are doing exactly what they set out to do, why in the world would they be embarrassed? Probably for the same reason the Unibomber's brother was in all likelihood embarrassed that people would now know he's the Unibomber's brother but turned him in anyway.
pi2000 Posted January 30, 2015 Report Posted January 30, 2015 Connor McDavid and the Erie Otters faceoff against Kingston on the NHL Network tonight at 7pm ET.... followed by BUF/VAN at 10p ET. What are they trying say by stacking those games back to back?
Andrew Amerk Posted January 30, 2015 Report Posted January 30, 2015 I'll be drunk by the time the puck drops.
WildCard Posted January 31, 2015 Report Posted January 31, 2015 Why? Because some of us just want the #1 pick; but aren't looking for historic futility records. Agreed. There's no point to lose any more than we must; I'm worried we'll get to the point of futility where it hurts our young guys on the team going forward. Saying that though, we're not out of it yet, but a loss here in the next 4 games would be nice.

Andrew Amerk Posted January 31, 2015 Report Posted January 31, 2015 Carolina Flushing Toilet Logos giving the Blues a run so far, 2-2 after 2.
WildCard Posted January 31, 2015 Report Posted January 31, 2015 Jersey and Canes both lose in OT/SO, still lose a point at least.
