SabresFuture Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 When does Columbus start getting some bodies back? I am assuming Colorado will separate enough in due time....too much talent there. Here is answer for the Jackets - they should separate pretty soon as well with their best coming back within a week or so.... http://espn.go.com/n...=espnapi_public Dubinsky should be back soon right?
Stoner Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Just a torso? hmmmm.....are we talking a bottomless, armless, and headless Venus de Milo.? Or a bottomless, arm-less, and headless something else, with a great personality? Head included. I guess I never knew the definition of torso.
wjag Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Head included. I guess I never knew the definition of torso. Isn't it amazing how this board informs?
Stoner Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Isn't it amazing how this board informs? Yeah but I still wanna know if antiperspirants work to prevent clammy hands.
X. Benedict Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Yeah but I still wanna know if antiperspirants work to prevent clammy hands. Brian Campbell wants to cure your hyperhydrosis
pi2000 Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 mcdavid with a goal, an assist, and a fighting major through 2 periods tonight. although the guy he fought is 5'8 170lbs... haha
WildCard Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 mcdavid with a goal, an assist, and a fighting major through 2 periods tonight. although the guy he fought is 5'8 170lbs... haha Good, it's what a captain is supposed to do.

Gotta pick your battles. Especially when you're probably going to be making ~13 mil a year with that body at some point.
darksabre Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Good, it's what a captain is supposed to do. Yeah, if he gets drafted by the Sabres maybe the league will let him carry a gun.
qwksndmonster Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Nice. Gotta pick your battles. Especially when you're probably going to be making ~13 mil a year with that body at some point. According to Tank in the draft thread, McDavid went off with the trainers afterwards. They were looking at his hand. So much for picking your battles, gotta punch helmets.
WildCard Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Not too good for the Sabres in the CHL tonight. Isles down 2-0 to Colorado and Columbus continues their CHL run and is up 3-1 in Washington
pi2000 Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 (edited) http://sports.yahoo....-003928475.html don't care if his hand is busted up... i like it. Not too good for the Sabres in the CHL tonight. Isles down 2-0 to Colorado and Columbus continues their CHL run and is up 3-1 in Washington don't matter, nobody will be within earshot of the Sabres after a blow out win vs. Blues tonight. WildCard Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 http://sports.yahoo....-003928475.html don't care if his hand is busted up... i like it. Thanks for the link  I like that he initiated the fight; it's pretty clear the other players know all about him and who he is, those two tried to run him through the glass. Good that he doesn't take ###### like that all the time and has some guts. Hopefully it's nothing too serious. Worst case is what? a broken hand that keeps him out till February? Crosby had his 6 concussions, we'll be okay.
dudacek Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Holy meltdown for Capuano's boys. Avalanche really bringing it tonight.
WildCard Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Colorado murders the Islanders, Columbus brings their winning streak to 8-1-1 in the CHL in their last 10, and Edmonton wins a close one to Nashville. Good news, Sabres win again, and the Panthers lose. Dallas and Arizona currently tied 2-2 heading into the 3rd.
dudacek Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 I demand the Isles get removed from this league immediately. It has been proven again and again that they can't win anything. And this is clear proof. Playing in this league is fukcing up our draft pick.
pi2000 Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Buffalo is still in control of their own destiny that's all that matters.
That Aud Smell Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Team Canada has got to be holding its breath on McDavid. World Jr's are right around the corner.

Isles trying to pretend they don't belong after 4 straight games of sitting at 10 points. Tonight is quietest night of all in CHL - nobody in action. There'll be 7 teams in action tomorrow night including 2 h-t-h.

pi2000 Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NHL/Eastern/Atlantic/Buffalo.html ...the "What If" table at the bottom is somewhat interesting. Basically, if Buffalo plays about .500 hockey the rest of the way out, there is still a greater probability they finish first in the CHL than second. I could see them at best winning maybe another 20 games or so, which would put them clearly in first. We're quickly approaching the point were we can actually start cheering for them to lose.
Derrico Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 We are a ways away from that PI. You keep fighting until we mathematically take home the shart and party like it's 2005

That was a very interesting chart, showing that we are pretty far ahead at this point. Ironically, I spent a bit of time looking at how the Sabres could finish with over 100 points. Only ~3,000 occurances out of 880,358,740 simulations... so you're saying there's a chance...

It's the sharp part of the curve there though, if I'm reading it right if the Sabres net 65 points out of the remaining 65 games, they're 66% chance to finish last. If they net 67 points (one extra win), they're 51%. Plus, I think this data is based on historical seasons. This season will be different as the CHL will likely heat up towards the end. 60 points is normally 99% to finish last; I'd bet there will be at least 2-3 teams in the 50s this year. We are a ways away from that PI. You keep fighting until we mathematically take home the shart and party like it's 2005   I don't know if I can go all the way to April (when mathematically applies) before I start drinking while watching this team.

As a Buffalo Sports Fan I take nothing for granted. Once they clinch 30th Place I will completely relax, but these stats increase my hope.
