calti Posted March 7, 2015 Report Posted March 7, 2015 If you had told me before the game Edmonton would drop a point against Chicago, I'd take that all day. Â no doubt...this was a risky nite to say the least. A solid A.

If I told you the Oilers had a one goal lead over the Hawks well into the 3rd period, you'd rightly be disappointed when they lost that lead.

Taro T Posted March 7, 2015 Author Report Posted March 7, 2015 Nice. Starting to get some separation. I expect them to stretch out their lead over the next two weeks. That would be good if they can. Hopefully this March is the March to 'victory,' it's off to a good start. But there is still much work to be left unfinished.
Guest Sloth Posted March 7, 2015 Report Posted March 7, 2015 (edited) Wonder how many Yote fans, again, all 3 of them, slammed something when Ottawa took the lead last night. I'm not going to lie. I reacted as if the Sabres scored a goal in any other season. Felt bad for doing it, but hey, gotta finish last. That would be good if they can. Hopefully this March is the March to 'victory,' it's off to a good start. But there is still much work to be left unfinished.  Yeah, I'm not going to get excited yet. Have a long ways to go. If Buffalo can lose 15 more games, the tank will be a success. Now, that's the most they'll need. If Arizona and Edmonton continue to rack up points, Buffalo won't need that many losses. It'd just be nice to know the Sabres have it locked up before the final game of the season. Edited March 7, 2015 by thanes16
K8prisoner Posted March 7, 2015 Report Posted March 7, 2015 (edited) It think it's worse than it is now. The last place team (or 2nd or 3rd last) could pick 4th? What justice is there in that?  Let's say you finish in 4th, 3 teams behind you get the top 3 picks. Suddenly you're picking 7th. Fair? Hardly. I hate draft lottery systems because it means you have to get lucky to improve your team. They don't do it in football and it's worked fine for decades in the NHL.   they are ending the possibilty of tank talk and the public embarassment ....unless four gretskys emerge at once  in subsiquent years Nice. Starting to get some separation. I expect them to stretch out their lead over the next two weeks.   gonna come down to a head to loss fest w yotes unfortunately.. whover posting vid of girls basketball teams trying each lose is prophetic.. hopefully the edm and ari win a few while we are set up to fail (succeed) in the next two weeks.. calti Posted March 8, 2015 Report Posted March 8, 2015 sad thing is that chances are none of the bottom 3 will get McDavid. the system makes no sense.

Literally. The 4 squads in action went collectively 2-18 while each picked up a pair of points.  The 2 teams that rested today won't be able to match that feat tomorrow as they go head to head in a 3 bagger potential 1 pointer. The Candy Canes host the Eulers in the only CHL action.
