The biggest threat to 30th is Neuvirth. And with Nolan declaring he is going to ride that horse as long as possible this could spell trouble. I realize the Sabres need a goalie but moving him by the deadline would be best for the long term future of the franchise

Couldn't this actually be a good thing (in CHL terms)?  If what we saw last night was indicative of tired Neuvirth and he keeps playing game after game (after game), it should bode well for the Shart.

He has a .944 Save Percentage since taking over for Enroth. And with some of the elite CHL Teams coming up in the final games this could be a problem and cost valuable points down the stretch

There aren't many Eichel stat updates on here, but I'll note: He's leading Division I in points and assists with 16-32-48.

I can't say I ever thought I'd see BU players at #1 and 2 on the scoring list.

Twas a mixed bag in the CHL as Filly, Joisey, and TO (finally) pitched goose eggs, but the Eulers, Desert Dogs, and Candy Canes all took deuces.

Filly, Sabres, and BJ's the only CHLers in action on Sunday. Can't believe the Preds will be looking to repeat this afternoon's debacle, which could be helpful as the Eulers are nipping at the Sabres' toes but Buffalo has 2 games in hand and could still put some space back between them.

[EDIT: Adjusted CPM to reflect results through 2/21.]

Big Week ahead - Sabres play 4 games and need to go a perfect 4-0  (Nashville, Columbus, Vancouver & Florida) in order to create some breathing space.

Oilers have 2 games this week - Minny & St.Louis. Tough to imagine them not going 2-0.

Mmmm. We need the flu to sweep through this team. Any ideas ?

I know I said to trade enroth and all will be well but I forgot how god nuieverth (im not learning his spelling at this point) is. You trade him and you can call off any mysterious illness as the team may not lose another game with lindback and Hackett getting the starts.

Pretty sure the Sabres are already on that.

D-corp surgeries: Gorges, Weber

D-corp illnesses: Strachan

D-corp kids being kids: Zadorov

Which leaves:

NHL caliber D-men: Bogosian, Ristolainen

CHL caliber D-men: Mesaros, Benoit

AHL caliber D-men: Pysyk, Ruwehdel

Wildcard: Charlie Desaulaurier

Not a pretty picture for NHL success. For CHL success, they're pretty much doing everything short of shooting on Neuvirth themselves tonight.
