Guest Sloth Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 (edited) “@DarrenDreger: Sounds like a couple of picks for Glencross from Caps.” RT #capitals #Flames #NHLTradeDeadline #NHL Calgary picked up 2nd and 3rd round picks. Each from the 2015 draft. Edited March 1, 2015 by thanes16 Quote
Hoss Posted March 1, 2015 Author Report Posted March 1, 2015 It is the Caps for a second and third. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 Thank goodness. As far as I can tell, he's a player that would never factor in to a contending team but is just good enough that he could screw up the tank. I actually kinda like Mitchell and wouldn't mind him back next year on a 2 year deal to solidify the bottom-6. Quote

Hoss Posted March 1, 2015 Author Report Posted March 1, 2015 Flyers hoping to move Braydon Coburn by Monday. Teams are calling. Quote
Rasmus_ Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 Need room for Gostisbehere and Morin. Maybe this means they are planning on re-signing Del Zotto because you'd expect him to be moved if they are truly selling. They've also resigned Schultz for their bottom pair. They do need to get more mobile and younger on the blue line. Morin and Ghostisbehere definitely start that. Quote

Brawndo Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 Per Dreger @DarrenDreger: Leafs are not shopping Bernier and likely won't trade him, but there has been some interest expressed and Toronto remains willing to listen Quote
Huckleberry Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 Its staying awefull silent on the trade front at the moment. Quote
Brawndo Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 (edited) something up between NYR and Arizona per Friedman @TSNBobMcKenzie: NYR are deep into discussions to acquire defenceman Keith Yandle from ARI but it's reportedly not done yet. If it gets done, it will be big. Edited March 1, 2015 by BRAWNDO Quote
dudacek Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 (edited) Dammit, even in the salary cap era, Rangers never change. Always in it fortune if names. It's like Sather likes to win shiny toys more than cups. Edited March 1, 2015 by Djuda Chekhov Quote
nobody Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 I can imagine the smirk on the face of Darcy right now. Quote
Johnny DangerFace Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 Looks like the yandle to NYR deal is done Quote

If it gets done, it will be big. Looks like a done deal Yandle to NYR. The Sabres are in an interesting position now that the UFA's are flying off the board. On the one hand, they might have more leverage if some teams get desperate and on the other hand they might be left holding an empty bag if teams fill their needs elsewhere. Right now the Bruins seem to be looking for a forward like Stewart or Erik Cole, but they don't want to give anything close to a 1st round pick or a top prospect. If they get Cole on the cheap, the Sabres could be left without a serious dance partner for Stewart. I hope Murray pulls it out before the deadline, but honestly I am very concerned! Quote
beerme1 Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 I can imagine the smirk on the face of Darcy right now. Me too and it pisses me off. Quote
Rasmus_ Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 It was a big return for Yandle as far as I'm concerned, I would assume the second pick is a 2nd. Quote
SabresBillsFan Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 Me too and it pisses me off. Yeah no kidding! He started this whole tank and it's probably Karma but he will end up with the prize. I said it before that I have this strange feeling Arizona will land the top pick because he would easily sell tickets for a team that needs some serious help filling seats. Quote
Robviously Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 I can imagine the smirk on the face of Darcy right now.Sure looks like he's outflanked the Sabres right now. We'll see if GMTM is as smart as we all hope he is. Quote
Trettioåtta Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 Darcy sets up the Sabres Tank then destroys it when he is fired. Classic manoeuvre. He wasn't joking about suffering. Quote
dudacek Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 Wait until we see Kevin Devine's countermove. Quote
Johnny DangerFace Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 People forget we are an utterly team lower in the standings than them Quote
SabresBillsFan Posted March 1, 2015 Report Posted March 1, 2015 People forget we are an utterly ###### team lower in the standings than them That could change because they don't have much offense on that team and then they moved one of their top two d-man. Plus they play in the Western Conference which is alot tougher than the east. Quote

Of course, that means that being in the EC actually makes our record that much worse (i.e., the Sabres have benefited from playing in the weaker conference.) Quote
