Huckleberry Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 Yeah they are doing a good job of getting vets over the entire program. Quote

Some teams don't even play all the teams in their conference. The Amerks (west) play the Crunch (east) a couple times a year. Quote

shrader Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 Travel costs and arena scheduling (this guys don't get automatic first dibs like their NHL parents) I still have no idea how Calgary thought Abbotsford was a good idea. They had to fly everywhere, even when Winnipeg (which was still a long flight) was in the league. On top of that, Abbotsford was right next to Vancouver in BC and was clearly Canuck territory. Quote

Calgary's had a lot of head scratchers through the years. Quote
Bob Malooga Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 Former 1st round pick who is only 25 years old? These are the kinds of vets they should take chances on. Anybody have any clue if they kept Colton Gillies? He seemed to fit in nicely down in Rochester too. (And he is also another young, former 1st round pick, yet to establish himself...perfect for Rochester.) Quote
