Sabres sign Luke Adam to eternal one-year, two-way deal

He's insurance against having 2 centers due to injury/development lag. If Samson and Grigo aren't ready, and Ennis or Hodgson get hurt. Adam gets some time on the big club.

He had more goals than Leino.

T'ain't no big thing. I had as many as him and played far fewer games. ;)

Luke Adam reminds me a bit of Alexandre Giroux. Very good AHL player, but not quite good enough to make that transition to a full time NHL player.

So Luke Adam was picked 44th overall (I had no idea, I just looked it up). That's solidly in the less likely to make the NHL than not area of the draft. To me, that puts it into perspective: if he doesn't have a long NHL career it's not a surprise.
