LastPommerFan Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 If the games tonight hold, everything will be coming together nicely.   Quote
Trettioåtta Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 Columbus is our key player. They need to win out. Lock us into 30th, then help the Islanders miss the playoffs. Quote
Hoss Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 The Isles will be clinching the playoffs shortly with Boston down 3-1 to Florida. Quote
plenzmd1 Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 ###### BOSTON Ever the homer, Brick was blaming schedule. Edwards actually sounds realistic blaming age and skill. Quote
Taro T Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 The Isles will be clinching the playoffs shortly with Boston down 3-1 to Florida. So that miracle Sabres win over the B's might end up costing the Sabres 7.5% of a chance at McDavid and a 59% of a chance at Eichel? Quote
Hoss Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 There's still hope that they slide to the wild card spot. If Pittsburgh wins out and the Isles don't beat Columbus in the finale then Pittsburgh moves ahead of them and drops the Isles to the WC. Quote
LGR4GM Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 Just noticing that Boston is about to be a fringe team. They lack offense and have some questionable/aging defense. They are about to be a crappy team. Quote
plenzmd1 Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 (edited) 3-2 Boston. I do not want them in the lottery Fug me 4-2 Bruins This is not good for the Sabres Edited April 10, 2015 by plenzmd1 Quote

bunomatic Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 they look so slow. Lucic is not the same player he once was It all started going downhill for Lucic that time he ran Miller. Its karma man Quote

shrader Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 They ain't in it yet! But that's what plenz is fearing, Boston possibly having a 1% shot at McDavid. I'd come up with some witty comparison, but I can't think of any crazy scenarios that have a 1% chance of happening... maybe death by an inkman calf smothering? Quote
Hoss Posted April 12, 2015 Report Posted April 12, 2015 The Islanders pick will be 21 unless they make the conference finals. Quote
Johnny DangerFace Posted April 12, 2015 Report Posted April 12, 2015 The Islanders pick will be 21 unless they make the conference finals. Pretty sure teams below them in the standings can make the conference finals and lower their pick more Quote
Hoss Posted April 12, 2015 Report Posted April 12, 2015 Pretty sure teams below them in the standings can make the conference finals and lower their pick more Good call. Didn't even think of that. So the Sabres other first round pick will be 17-21 or 27-29 (can't be 30th because that pick would be guaranteed to go to Winnipeg). Quote

So the Sabres other first round pick will be 17-21 or 27-29 (can't be 30th because that pick would be guaranteed to go to Winnipeg). If the Isles make the conference finals and the Blues don't, pretty sure the Blues pick could slip to 26, 25, or 24. So Sabres pick 2 would be 17-21 or 24-29. So for the best pick possible, root for 1st round exit for Isles and Detroit or Ottawa to win the division; Pens to win theirs; Minny to win theirs; and Calgary or the Peg to come out of the last group. K8prisoner Posted April 12, 2015 Report Posted April 12, 2015 minny sabres might beat the blues but bank on the isle losing in 6 to the caps Quote

Do we really need to do this? I've had it with draft finagling. Quote
Taro T Posted April 12, 2015 Report Posted April 12, 2015 Do we really need to do this? I've had it with draft finagling. Do what? Just adding some clarification to where the pick can end up. I'm hoping it doesn't end up better than 18, as I (mildly surprising to myself) would prefer to see the Rags beat the Pigeons. Quote
