I guess he didn't get the memo, though. Says we will be trying to make the playoffs...

I'm fine with that. I trust that the Isles will be terrible and we can still get our guy in the draft with their pick!

Much better than Weber. He'll log top 4 minutes.

I think Weber will be gone at the trade deadline. Love his heart, but he just doesn't have enough skill with the puck on his stick to be effective.

On TSN. Montreal ripped his heart out.

Talked around Leaf rejection - rivalry definitely was one of the reasons he refused Toronto.

Sounds like Buffalo was originally on his no trade list. Waived NT clause because Likes Pegula and Nolan. Wants to be a leader for good young improving team.

Great! But what are we going to do with all these tanks? Have a garage sale?

I look at it this way... everything the Isles do turns to crap. It's almost predictable that they defer the pick to us for next year then finish dead last. That's just an Isles sort of thing to do!

This so fits the plan to a T that it's not even funny - love it! Leader on D, bring in Gionta for leader on O - boom! Oh how Toronto just got so bitch slapped. Moulson and Ott still in the mix.......this team is starting to come to life without ruining the tank.

agreed. I like it. At least it will be fun hockey to watch, even if we're losing.

The Sabres can aim for the playoffs. they are going to fall short, have a shot a the top pick and still get the second pick overall from the Islanders (if they don't win it). So.. it's good!

They replaced most of Ehrhoff's salary with this signing as well. Love the trade. a 2nd in 2016 for him? Awesome!

Surprising Montreal would trade him to a division rival...

If they were willing to send him to the Loafs, they MIGHT have been willing to talk to the B's.

Though had the Nords remained in place, probably would have even spoken to them; though they'd've put an IED in his hockey bag.
