Stoner Posted June 28, 2014 Report Posted June 28, 2014 How's Kovalchuk doing? SDS will turn this car around. Quote
SDS Posted June 28, 2014 Author Report Posted June 28, 2014 SDS will turn this car around. Well the loose cannons are easy to spot now. :) Quote
darksabre Posted June 28, 2014 Report Posted June 28, 2014 Had 42 points in 36 games and his team finished 3rd overall in points, their best finish ever, lost in the second round of the playoffs. Playing at home and making a ton of money, I would say he is "doing" just fine. None of that is a slam against the Sabres. Come on step your game up. I know you've got something negative to say before you slink into the background again. Quote

Negativity is a matter of opinion and 90% of my "slams" are simply fanboi delusions by those that can't handle truth. Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 One of the main players in keeping the Buffalo Sabres in Buffalo. That's "who" the man is. Anyone would have done that. Some would have done it because it was the right thing to do. Others would have done it because it was the profitable thing to do. But who does this? Late, great Jim Kelley: I learned that Ruff, after seeing the tape of Hull’s foot fully in Dominik Hasek’s goalcrease, had come out of the coaches’ office and was searching for NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman. He found him and confronted him with the “no-goal” argument but the Commissioner reportedly turned away and immediately left the building. Gary Bettman is a coward. Quote
Eleven Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 Again, strong stuff. I am bending more and more towards booing when Bettman hands Hodgson the Cup in 2018. Quote
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 Did Bettman order the full lobster at Crawdaddy's or play it smooth and go for the thurmidor? Someone here get me some answers........ Quote
X. Benedict Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 Never forget who this guy is. For the record, my point was this. I won't boo because I don't boo not because I don't approve of those that do boo and who they boo when they do boo. Quote
beerme1 Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 I will boo and boo heartily whenever I see Bettman. In the arena, on an elevator, whenever I see him on tv. He is an asshat and deserves the boos for his smug smarmy attitude. His parents probably suck too. Quote
Hoss Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 I hope we don't boo Bettman if he ever presents a cup in Buffalo. It's a moment of celebration, and I always feel like the boos almost ruin the moment. Quote
Andrew Amerk Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 I stand on the sides of IKP and 11 on this one. I can't believe I am actually reading posts defending Bettman. Quote

thewookie1 Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 Just to say, I keep thinking this topic is called "Batman is a disgrace to the league...." Quote
SwampD Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 From what I heard him say off camera one time, I can't stand him. I think he only cares about the owners and views the players as cattle. His NHL has less scoring, less fighting, and fewer and fewer teams in it at the end. I would never boo him, but that is only because he has made it so that I will never be able to afford going to a Stanley Cup clinching game. Quote
