drnkirishone Posted June 28, 2014 Report Posted June 28, 2014 They already tried to trade sizzle. Now the media thinks I'm a locker room cancer. Bunch of mouse potatos. did you do something dumb like step on some odd colored sections of the carpet? Quote
Taro T Posted June 28, 2014 Report Posted June 28, 2014 did you do something dumb like step on some odd colored sections of the carpet? You might be on the right track but I'd heard it had something to do with urinal shelves and breakfast cereals. Quote

Doohicksie Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 But, back on topic - do you think SR is genuine in his answers or do you think he is overly scripted? I think he's well prepared. Like he will be at the start of the season. I don't get this. Not to hate on my own team, but I've rarely actually seen a player excited to become a Buffalo Bills/Sabres player, let alone a prominent one coming to the worst NHL team in years. I thought he'd have the nice, polite answer, but be secretly be upset his home team didn't snag him, but he seems genuinely thrilled to be here. Does he have ties here other than a few players that makes him so excited? Or is he just smart enough to realize the position we're in as well as the owner he's going to be playing for? Yes, he's that smart. Quote
X. Benedict Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 (edited) I trusted you kids with the house for just one night and you buy a keg of beer and trash the place. If Rip gives our Sam some stupid number like #45 or #60 because of this thread, you are all grounded. Now I don't know who started this, and I don't care if this keg is warm, in this family we don't waste beer, so finish this thing off and tidy this place up before your mother sees this and threatens to leave me and move in with your Aunt Ida again because we don't appreciate all the things she does around here. Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 I'm having "Darcy Core" flashbacks. The kid's favorite TV show is 90210. I sh!t you not, I would red flag him in the interview process just for that. At least that Cornell kid lists his favorite movies as Caddyshack and Strange Brew. That's a future letter wearer right there..... Quote
LGR4GM Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 So Reinhart 3yrs 5mil per? Everyone good with that? Quote
Hoss Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 So Reinhart 3yrs 5mil per? Everyone good with that? Can only go up to $4 mill after bonuses and salary are factored in which is what every second overall pick gets anyways. Quote
LGR4GM Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 So we are exactly at the same cap situation today as we were when you factor in Samson. It's a wash. Quote
Andrew Amerk Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 Well, you should probably know that Lindy Ruff's tie is a fake account too. Is Tim Murrays Glasses a fake account too? Quote

ubkev Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 Can only go up to $4 mill after bonuses and salary are factored in which is what every second overall pick gets anyways. Am I reading cap geek wrong? I'm using Nathan MacKinnon as a reference here. It says his cap hit is only 925k. I see the bonus icon paying him 2.85 mil, but I can't see where that counts towards the cap. What's up? Quote

Performance bonuses do count, tho. Quote

Doohicksie Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 (edited) no reason not to put the kid in #23. Especially considering the good will he's already shown the team and the city in his reaction to being chosen by the worst team in the NHL. Edited June 30, 2014 by Neuvirths Glove Quote
Eleven Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 There's no reason not to give any player a number he wants, as long as it is available. Rip's "NASCAR number" nonsense really irritates me. Quote
