Hoss Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 (edited) Can we just call him Samson all the time? I know it's three more letters, but they're three awesome letters. Also: Edited June 27, 2014 by Tankalicious Quote

inkman Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 I was pulling for Bennet but I certainly don't hate this pick. Draisaitl on the other hand, just glad I didn't have to react to that pick. Quote

IKnowPhysics Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 Buffalo Sabres @BuffaloSabres Sam Reinhart: "This is the best moment of my life." #Sabres #Sabres2014Draft Honestly and sincerely, congratulations to him. It's an enormous day for him. Bonus: he's not going to Florida, Edmonton, or Calgary. He's a Buffalo Sabre. Quote

Robviously Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 Best part was Murray skipping all the BS and just saying "The Buffalo Sabres select Sam Reinhart." Didn't thank Philly; didn't say hello to the fans back home. Tim Murray doesn't have time for that crap. Quote
Derrico Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 Love this pick!!! We have our numb 2 centre and we get numb 1 next draft Quote

SDS Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 Ha. I've always felt this was the pick, but wondered if the silence on Bennett was a ploy. Thank you GMTM for not ###### around. Quote

LGR4GM Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 Sam Reinhart Reinhart has excellent hockey sense and vision. He seems to know where the puck is going before it gets there and finds the openings in the defence. He has excellent stickhandling and puck protection skills, which when coupled with his good vision and passing make him an excellent playmaker. Reinhart is one of those special types of centres who has the ability to make his linemates better. He is very unpredictable, when a goalie is thinking shot he makes the perfect pass to a teammate to give them a wide open net, and if a goalie cheats towards the pass, he’ll put the puck in the back of the net. While his shot could be a little harder and should get there as he gains muscle, but he is deadly accurate and has a great release that fools goaltenders. Reinhart has shown the ability to protect the puck on the cycle and is willing to play in the dirty areas of the ice in order to score points. He’s a natural leader who seems to get a “letter” wherever he goes, whether it be Kootenay or Team Canada. http://lastwordonsports.com/2014/04/03/2014-nhl-draft-profile-2-sam-reinhart/ Quote
