It would be tough because a ref would have to determine intent on every breakaway (or play) when the net came off but overall I agree with what you're saying. I thought this time was funny because it was a once-in-lifetime thing. Hopefully. Did you notice him signalling for interference right after the play? I wonder if he knocked the net off its moorings out of anger after he felt he - or one of his forwards right before the breakaway - was interfered with. I thought he was complaining when I first watched it, but upon closer look, he was signaling for the penalty shot. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a light fine coming his way.
