SwampD Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 We had that at F'NC at one point. If I'm not mistaken, it was started there. Quote
dEnnis the Menace Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 We had that at F'NC at one point. The last 3 years I've gone to less and less games...maybe I just never noticed or am forgetting. Either way, it's pretty awesome Quote

Hoss Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 (edited) The Canes went back to pronouncing it the Buffalo way about midway through last season. But that was before the extra A. Ouch @mirtle: Flames announce Sam Bennett out 4-6 months after shoulder surgery. Tough. Edited October 9, 2014 by Tankalicious Quote
X. Benedict Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 But that was before the extra A. Ouch @mirtle: Flames announce Sam Bennett out 4-6 months after shoulder surgery. Tough. So does Sam get paid for an NHL season? I wonder. Quote
Hoss Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 Brayden Coburn was a sudden scratch tonight for Philly. Sounds like he may have a bad lower body injury. Quote
Eleven Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 So does Sam get paid for an NHL season? I wonder. While he's up here, yes. And it's Samson, dammit! Quote
Trettioåtta Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 While he's up here, yes. And it's Samson, dammit! Bennet, not Reinhart. And yes he does. 6 months of NHL pay and NHL quality rehab Quote
SabresBillsFan Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 Why do I have a feeling Vanek is going to be real good this year for the Wild. You think he's got something to prove to all the critics talking about his work ethic. Quote
Hoss Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 Dan Boyle, in his Rangers debut, broke his hand. Out 4-6 weeks. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 I'm not sure if Minnesota looks great or Colorado looks awful. In any even, I wish I could've watched the Chicago-Dallas game. Quote

You think he's got something to prove to all the critics talking about his work ethic. Not off to a great start. Wild win 5-0, he's not on the ice for any of them. TV never felt like a rise to the occasion kinda guy. More like make faces and complain kinda guy. Quote
Huckleberry Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 Apparently Bettman doesn't mind if Chris Pronger is hired by the department of player safety and remains employed and payed by Ed Snider. What a crock of ######. Cronyism is alive and well in the N.H.L. Chris Pronger is going to participate in all decisions not affecting Flyers games directly. This is the same arrangement the NHL has with Colin Campbell and the Bruins. Chris is still going to be paid by Flyers and his charge against the Cap and LTIR treatment will remain the same. Was thinking the same, if you go do another job, then clearly you are no longer an active hockey player, he should be counting against the cap right now. Quote
drnkirishone Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 Was thinking the same, if you go do another job, then clearly you are no longer an active hockey player, he should be counting against the cap right now. right, like the nhl would penalize one of the biggest owners in the league.... Quote
Hoss Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 There's actually some talk that the Flyers will put him on the "non-roster IR" which would count him against the cap. No clue why they would do that. Quote
Eleven Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 Bennet, not Reinhart. And yes he does. 6 months of NHL pay and NHL quality rehab What the hell is the matter with me? It couldn't have been clearer from the context. Quote
X. Benedict Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 I watched Dallas/Chicago last night. Dallas is a fun team to watch. Active D, roll 4 lines at top speed, 4 forwards on the power play. Great passing up-tempo team. Lindy has less hair though, Quote
LabattBlue Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 As I channel surfed a lot last night with the Center Ice preview, I realized that there is a lot of good hockey being played in the NHL...outside of Buffalo. Quote
